I have read a bunch of reviews of this “5-star” resort in Skopje — but only after our recent stay there — to see whether others experienced what we did at this dreadful hotel. I was surprised to see an average score of “very good” (four out of five). But then I read the numerous “poor” and “terrible” reviews. And they were all right on the money. Yes, it’s well located. And at first blush it looks like an upscale hotel. But on closer observation — and especially once you get to your room — you realize quickly that this is an awful place to stay. We were part of a large group, spread out in rooms throughout the hotel, and EVERYONE had major complaints about their rooms. And they were all different complaints, ranging from non-working AC, non-working hotel safes, inadequate towels and linens, etc. I will stick to what we experienced first-hand, but the others’ horror stories echo many of the problems described in other reviews on this site. Our problems started when it took getting a third key card even to get into the room. And it only went downhill from there. Yes, as others have noted, they only give you one towel per person. That’s it. No hand towels, no bath mats, but just two smallish bath towels. Then there were the weird strobe lights — one in the bathroom, one in the bedroom — that could only be turned off after much experimentation with switches. And the very few, awkwardly placed electrical outlets. And the bathroom from hell. Our particular room had an ancient bathtub, dangerous to get in and out of, with only a handheld wand with which to shower — which was set so low on the wall that you had to literally hold it at all times, making it extremely hard to wash one’s hair. And of course there’s the smooth, slippery floor to face getting out of the tub. Remember: No bath mats. There’s more, but you get the idea. Our room also faced the historic mosque next door, which flooded the room with light at night. And then there was the call to prayer at 4:30 in the morning. I think I’ve said enough.
The location of the hotel is truly unbeatable. It's ideally situated with a vibrant array of restaurants and bars on one side and the charming old bazaar on the other, all just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel itself was outstanding. Beyond the thrill of staying on a Galleon anchored on the river, the property is properly maintained, very well-kept and impecabble clean. The room was exceptionally comfortable and came with a wide range of amenities to enhance our stay. The entire staff, from the receptionists and night porter to the maids and catering team, were truly exceptional. Their professionalism was evident in every interaction, and they consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Not only were they highly skilled in their roles, but they were also incredibly attentive and always ready to assist with any request. Their warmth and dedication made a significant impact on our stay, with the level of service far surpassing our expectations. The breakfast at this hotel is truly the best in Skopje. While it may not be as extensive as the offerings at larger hotels, I found it to be far superior in quality. The food was fresh, delicious, and carefully prepared, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. We had the option to choose anything from the menu, in addition to a delightful small buffet featuring a variety of both hot and cold selections. The attention to quality over quantity made the breakfast a standout feature of our stay. While the hotel excels in many areas, dinner and lunch offerings could use some improvement. Although the quality of the food is commendable, the portion sizes are on the smaller side. In our experience, dining at the hotel can be relatively expensive, especially when compared to the lager portions available at nearby restaurants. Enhancing the portion sizes would make these meals more appealing to guests. I highly recommend Hotel Senigallia for its exceptional service, luxurious amenities, and unbeatable location. Whether you're traveling for business, leisure or as a family, the attention to detail and comfort provided at this Hotel will exceed your expectations, making your stay truly memorable.

ผผู้เข้าพักDominating the Macedonia Square, this hotel is the best in Skopje. Stunning exterior, extremely elengant interior with Minotti furniture and Flos lighting items. I stayed there for 3 nights and everything went well: 1- The location is perfect! Right in the heart of Skopje. From there, you can walk to the Stone bridge, Mother Theresa house. Most of the museums are located within walking distance from the Marriott. 2- My room was amazing. Spacious and very clean. I think I booked the Deluxe room, but was upgraded to the Junior Suite or sthg. So in addition to the big bed, there was a seating area, and a balcony with a small dining table for coffee. Toilet was also spacious and water was perfect. 3- Spa: I only used the indoor pool, but I saw ppl waiting for their massages, and the place looked fancy. 4- Staff: literally everyone was amazing! Every single one of them, especially Sanja. She was very helpful, polite and friendly. 5- Prices were very fine, given that this is a 5-star hotel. You pay this amount for a 3 or 4 star-hotel in other European cities. I highly recommend this hotel for those wishing to visit Skopje.
VVenture33163315727Stayed here for one night with the family as part of our Balkan tour. Our tour company arranged for the hotel so not sure of the price. It is a very centrally located hotel close to the major attractions and restaurants in the city. You couldn't ask for a better location. The rooms are big and clean, wi-fi worked well, breakfast had a decent selection and the staff are really nice. The only complaint we had was with the AC. For some reason, in both our rooms, it was stopp starting throughout the night. Maybe we didn't figure it out properly - but this is a minor convenience we had. Other than that, it was a real good option to stay in Skojpe.
”Don't judge a book by its cover.” Viewing it from the outside may make you gasp and reconsider, since it is surrounded by some shops, perennial mud puddles, a half constructed building next door, and, oddly, a series of dirt ramps for kids on bicycles right out in front (!). But once you venture inside, you find a modern, clean hotel with friendly lobby clerks, a small fitness center, free daily breakfast, strong air conditioning, and even free access to an Olympic pool literally next door (open a door from the fitness center and there you are) at certain hours. All of this is at a very low reasonable nightly rate too, I might add. Unfortunately I forgot to ask them their names but the quiet older man and talkative woman made things very easy for me during my stay. When I had a flight cancellation and had to stay an extra night than planned, the woman arranged for me to keep my same room. Not only did the hotel not take advantage of my plight and desperation for last minute lodging, but they actually found a LOWER discount rate for my extra night than I had originally paid! I cannot say enough good things about this little hotel and the hard working staff. It's a short walk to all the sights and also a few minutes away from Vero Center, a shopping center which has some places to eat including an a la carte cafeteria. The area is very safe.
