Every employee was exceptional, helpful and friendly. The location is great except for getting in an out with a vehicle. The rooms were very nice, the bed was comfortable and clean. The two issues I had with the room were promptly corrected by maintenance (bad toilet flush and light bulb which was very loud). The restaurant was good, though the server was not exceptional. You feel welcome at every area within the hotel, every employee greets you as you pass. Only bad thing that I can say is that, I am allergic to dogs and could tell from the moment I slept in the room that there had been a dog or pet in the room prior. This lead to some discomfort that I was not prepared for. A bit of warning should be given to those with allergies so that other arrangements could be made.

This hotel was our first stop along California’s Highway 1. It’s nice and clean, making for a comfortable stay. They charge $30 per night for parking in the yard, which feels a bit steep—especially considering there’s no security onsite. The breakfast (isn’t complimentary) selection at the restaurant has a good range of options to choose from, which is definitely a plus.

For a resort that starts at ~$2,000/night this place falls very short in various areas. For an all inclusive resort there were very few dining options (it was either the sur house or the pool side bar). Most of the staff were really friendly but we did feel like the housekeeping staff weren’t too professional at times (once they opened the door to our room even when we told them to give us a few seconds to get to the door). Although the resort is in a beautiful location, I don’t know if I would consider this place luxurious.

I really enjoyed my stay. The property was beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained, and the facilities provided everything I needed for a relaxing experience. I especially appreciated the cleanliness and the overall atmosphere. The service was friendly, professional, and attentive, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

The place was very clean and the front desk was nice. The oceanview room wasn’t so oceanview, but the room was neat

Great location (close to 17 Mile Drive and other scenic spots), spacious, clean and cozy rooms, family-friendly inn with sufficient parking spaces. Offering simple but nice complimentary breakfast. Excellent guest service before, during and after the stay. A special thank you note to the day and night staff who patiently assisted with the FedEx delivery arrangement for delivery of a lost item to another city. Would love to come back and stay again!

Great location! I had a conference at the Monterey Conference which is less than a 3 min walk! Only thing was that there was no AC, I’m so used to assuming that hotels always have AC, but it was my bad for not checking ahead of time. I asked for a roll out bed, and they were able to provide that, depending on availability at no extra cost. Had a good stay! Quite historical hotel.
