Der Aufenthalt, der Service und die Ausstattung haben uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Hotelensemble besteht aus 2 Landhäusern und 1 Seehaus, welches direkt am wunderschönen Badersee liegt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Landhaus mit Blick auf die Zugspitze. Das Frühstück hatte eine schöne Auswahl aus diversen Aufstrichen, Käse, Ei, Müsli und Gebäckvariationen. Eine abwechselnde Auswahl wäre schön gewesen, aber dennoch völlig ausreichend. Das Abendessen wird vom Restaurant "Werdenfels" als Büffet ausgerichtet und hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Um das Hotel herum gibt es viele Möglichkeiten für Outdoor-Aktivitäten wie wandern, Bootstouren (im Sommer), mit der Seilbahn auf die Zugspitze und dort Skifahren. Mit einem Hotelticket kann man kostenlos zum Eibsee oder in die Nachbarstädte Garmisch-Partenkirchen fahren. Es gibt einen internen Wellnessbereich mit Möglichkeit für Massagen. Ich hatte die Schnell-Entspannungs-Massage und war danach tiefenentspannt! Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Wir können das Hotel nur empfehlen und würden wiederkommen.

Our stay at Hotel am Badersee was so cozy, comfortable and memorable. We would highly recommend a stay here if you will be in southern Bavaria and we would return here on a future visit to Germany.
We spent the day at Zugspitze and this hotel was the perfect location to stay after that. We originally planned to spend 1 night only, but liked the hotel and location so much that we spent 2 nights and took the opportunity to take the bus (with the complementary bus passes provided by the hotel) to visit some of the smaller neighboring towns and villages in the area (Garmisch was beautiful).
A highlight of the stay was the delicious food that was served at the dinner and breakfast buffets. There was a large variety of things to pick from and it was in a beautiful setting overlooking the lake, but most important of all, the food was absolutely delicious. We loved the variety after eating most of the traditional German foods for several days in Munich.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the lower $10/night parking fee as compared to parking fees in Munich.

We enjoyed a relaxing stay at this excellent hotel. Grainau is a perfect village for exploring the area. The hotel is a 10 minute walk on a marked path through the wood to the lovely village with good restaurants. Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet with a lovely view from the balcony over the little lake. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was outstanding, with a generous spread of traditional German meats, cheese and breads along with cooked items. We enjoyed drinks at the bar, but found the buffet on our first evening not worth repeating.

Fantastic four nights at the beautiful Hotel am Badersee, which is just 4-5km from Garmisch and a short hop to Lake Eibsee. We loved everything there and would definitely like to go back to enjoy the spectacular scenery nearby. The room, facilities, spa, breakfast, free parking, and excellent staff (especially Cosmin) made our stay in the Alps a memorable one!

Excellent, excellent stay ! Great service, fabulous breakfast and dinner (don’t miss this!). Very clean with a spotless spa experience. Two of our days in the region were rained out and we could not have been happier with the days since we took enough time for using the hotel amenities. We definitely will be back.

Great hotel in a great location. Bus service into Garmisch-Partenkirchen in one direction and to the Eibsee and zugspitze cable car in the other was useful. Very pleasant staff.

Hotel am Badersee is beautifully located on a crystal clear, reflective pond at the foot of the mountains. Dining at the restaurant overlooking the pond was peaceful and beautiful. The food and service were excellent. Rooms were updated and comfortable. Location is excellent for nearby hiking and access to the Zugspitze bahn to take you between the Eibsee and Garmisch Partenkirschen. We would happily stay here again.

We stopped in the main hotel, they do have apartments. The room was clean, with enough room. Water was supplied (sparkling and still)). The views from our balcony were fantastic, our room look out from the front of the hotel. We really liked the food, you mostly helped yourself and like our room the views were fantastic. If you plan to visit the Zugspitze, get your ticket on the day from them, the same price as the official website but you can be more sure of the weather. We got trapped for a couple of hours on the top by thunderstorms (the cable cars stop). Having got your ticket a lovely 10-15min walk to the cog rail station to Zugspitze. Your choice how you go up, as we were on the train we took it to the top and then cable car down. During busy periods we would recommend you take the cable car up and if you want the cog train down.
