Good price versus quality

Abgesehen von der unfreundlichen Rezeption waren wir mit dem Hotel sehr zufrieden. Essen, Strand, Pool, Zimmer, alles super. Ebenso freundliche Barkeeper, ob morgens (Marina, Stavros) oder abends, sowie das ganze Animationsteam (Paula, Sebastian…). Ihr wart großartig, vielen Dank.

Fabulous hotel! Food was unreal, especially in the Avra restaurant. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely little private beach, warm sea, even in April! Eur30 taxi to Heraklion. Not much to do outside the complex but enough to do inside so we never got bored. Matteo at the outside bar is a gem. Not sure what was in those cocktails but we slept well!! And we watched him handle some slightly obnoxious guests brilliantly.

We stayed for a week in late May to early June. The hotel has great facilities and very family friendly with a good beach. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Water slides were also a hit with the kids. The animation team provided great entertainment during the day with various activities and kids disco in the evening to get all the kids involved and feel welcome. Mitchell was very friendly and made sure there was suitable encouragement during the water polo!

Wonderful experience! Confortable room, excellent customer service. We loved the food, facilities and how the staff treats customers. Without any reservations, we recommend Arina Beach Resort !! The hotel surpassed all expectations. :)

This was our second stay at Arina Beach and it did not disappoint. We first stayed about 20 months ago not long after it reopened after refurbishment and we were impressed then, and I was pleased it had maintained that level on our return. The rooms are comfortable and modern and the whole resort has a great layout with well maintained grounds and selection of swimming pools depending on what you fancy on the day. The water slides are good fun for children - and adults too :) The beach is private for the resort and is beautiful with soft sand and crystal clear water. Some days it can be windy which just makes for some added fun on the waves! The mini-market is very useful and a decent size stocking essentials, snacks, souvenirs and toys for the beach/pool. There is also a great games room which our teenagers loved and we used most evenings for air hockey and pool - my only slight criticism here is the games are a touch expensive and we probably spent about EUR80 in there, but maybe a small price for some great family memories! (hint: have a few drinks watching the entertainment then at about 10:30pm, rarely anybody else in the games room!) All the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. There were always lots about keeping on top of tidying and cleaning and when we had to make one request to housekeeping it was dealt with swiftly. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel to get into Heraklion which only takes about 15-20 mins and is a couple of Euros each way. The best bit for an all inclusive, the food is outstanding - always well cooked, tasty, plentiful and is changed up enough every day to keep it interesting on a longer stay. The wide variety of meats are always cooked to perfection. Drinks are good and the Cretan beer on tap is very easy to drink!, as were the many Freddo Cappuccinos I had over the week. If you book direct you receive free transfers (in a nice luxury Mercedes minibus) from and to the airport which is a nice touch and was all perfectly arranged. For cat people there are lots of friendly cats who enjoy some attention. Finally, there are some comments in other reviews about aircraft. Yes the resort is located on the final approach to Heraklion airport, but if anything we find it pretty cool and fun for a bit of plane spotting. The planes actually fly over the water not directly above the hotel. We never felt it was overbearing and it’s not exactly the busiest airspace in the world. All in all a perfect stay and we definitely intend to return.

Really enjoyed staying here. Rooms, food, activities were great. All staff were respectful, pleasant and friendly. Special thanks to Mitchel for great energy and entertainment and Albi for great coctails. Had a great experience in Arina beach resort.

We still have a few days left here at Arina Beach and will be sad to be leaving in a few days time. It's a fantastic hotel which never feels small at any point. Loads to do, phenomenal food and service courtesy of Giorgio and his team. The entertainment team do a great job of getting all involved in the activities. Mitchel gives out the high fives like they are going out of fashion. Top lad.
