Hotel Maucksches Gut

We were there to celebrate a birthday and did discuss a fixed menu upfront. The owner told us it was not necessary and we could eat a la carte. We had to wait for more than two hours for our food to come and understood in the meanwhile, that there seemed to be a problem in the kitchen (we heard a loud argument between the waitress and the chef). Finally, when the food came, it was burned, not tasteful and it came in bits and pieces (while some guests had eaten, others were still waiting). For the sake of not pulling the mood of our party down, no-one said anything, that in fact, this was totally unacceptable. However, neither the waitress not the chef came to apologies, for both, the long waiting time or the terrible food. Though we were known and repeat customers to this place, this is not how we want to be treated and we will never go there again. We also had to apologies to our guests. That apologies should actually have come from the restaurant itself! A pity.
