A 5* experience from originally booking to leaving. 8 friends staying in beautiful surroundings, all rooms enjoying comfort, cleanliness, superb hospitality, lounge area, appetising breakfast and excellent attention to detail. Hilary was so helpful throughout with restaurant suggestions and local knowledge.

Every part of our 2 night stay was perfect. Our room on the ground floor was very comfortable with a large bed and so tastefully decorated. The bathroom was a few steps down (but there was enough light at night to navigate that). Breakfast was amazing in a gorgeous dining room with white tablecloths. The smoked salmon with scrambled eggs was simply delicious as were all the other offerings. We were fortunate that we were there over the weekend so that we could park in the street without having to pay. It was super convenient to the buses into the city which were frequent and on a number of routes.

Six Brunton was the perfect location for our 3 night stay. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful. Hillary and the staff ensured that we had everything we needed. Within 30 minutes, you can walk to just about anywhere you want to go in Old Town or New Town. It was also easy to get an Uber when needed. The Herringbone restaurant across the street is great for dinner and/or drinks. Highly recommend!

The staff were very friendly. There are many bus routes that pass in front of the hotel that will take you downtown. Hotel is very cozy and we really enjoyed the breakfast.

Hilary and her Team make the difference, I spent with my wife 3 nights and everything was perfect: location, room, breakfast and attentiveness in general.
I highly recommend to anyone who want to visit Edinburgh.

Host was very welcoming and property unique. Host was informative and always on hand to answer any questions. Complimentary small bottle of wine went down well and was a nice touch. Hotel and rooms were spotless, cleaned and re-stocked every day. Bathroom provided everything you could possibly need. Would definitely stay here again.

Guest house with a faded shine and more appearance than substance. Apart from the heating, which should be vented, checking the electrical installations (e.g. in the bathroom) and other minor repairs, the homepage is far from reality, and we also found the housekeeper inauthentic. Our advice: don't let the overly positive reviews influence you, unfortunately we made that mistake.

Everything was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. We would stay here again. The location was great for us. The only complaint is the slight musty smell in the basement room. They did have a deodorizer, however I couldn’t sleep with it under my night stand. I’m allergic to fragrances. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This guest house is everything anyone could hope to find for a stay, owned and run flawlessly by an exceptional, talented and thoughtful woman, Hilary. The townhouse is charmingly designed and decorated by Hilary. She always goes the extra mile to create the perfect visit. The bed, pillows and bedding are all so comfortable. The breakfasts and choices are perfect and delicious. There are many added touches such as complimentary small bottles of wine, a daily fresh, glass water bottle in the room, a change of towels every day and more. The location is quiet, but a good walk to many of the Edinburgh sights. I had a 6-day, stress-free, enjoyable time here!!! Thank you very much for all your warm hospitality, Hilary!!!
