We have eaten at the Nag's twice recently, both mid week days, and the restaurant has been full on both occasions. In addition to the set menu there are daily specials, usually slightly unusual, inventive, and extremely tasty. The service is always relaxed, friendly and efficient, and the prices very acceptable. If you give customers good food, good service and good value, they will come back; and so shall we.

We visited The Nags Head for a Sunday roast last weekend and we certainly weren’t disappointed. With 3 different meat options, a nut roast for vegetarians (but also other choices on the menu if a roast isn’t your thing) there was plenty to choose from, with a good range of beers and drinks available too. We ordered our roasts plus one for my infant daughter (I asked if peas could be added to hers as they aren’t usually included and it was no issue which was helpful). The food came up piping hot, with a nice range of veg and a huge homemade Yorkshire pudding, with an added bonus of cauliflower cheese in a side bowl which was a nice touch. We requested more gravy and an extra jug was brought over too. Nothing is too much of an ask here, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall fantastic food, nice atmosphere and great service- wouldn’t hesistate to return!
