My wife and I really like this hotel, but on this occasion we were disappointed with the room (No. 38).
The food in the restaurant is excellent, as is the level of service throughout.

The hotel was lovely and the staff were great. The only downside was that clearly it has become too expensive for them to heat the site properly. It was very cold.

I expected a lot more from a Manor hotel, the interior décor & furniture was extremely tired, dated, damaged.
Mould & shower leaks in the bathroom.
Broken sash windows which could not hold open (and it was a hot day!)
The room & bathroom in serious need of a revamp.
It reminded me of a cheap 2 star B&B at the coast, not an elegant manor hotel.

We picked the Manor as one of the few available hotels for our stay. We were happy. We got notified the day before arrival that there was an event happening which might be noisy - it wasn’t too bad. The decor is a little tired and fading, but perfectly okay. The service was excellent, the staff are friendly and enthusiastic.
