Have stayed here 4 times in the last couple of years. Price paid is good value for setting, location, spa facilities but the rooms are definitely looking tired. Was upgraded once and there was a huge difference in the general cleanliness and decor of the room. General house and communal areas are stunning and grand but rooms under any ‘deals’ are quite basic and are very far from the reception and facilities so not so good if mobility could be an issue. Overall it ticks a lot of boxes for a familiar and convenient one night stay.
Can’t believe we’ve never used this place before! Far exceeded expectations and we’ll definitely be back. Loved it all. Makes far more sense than a regular hotel. We used it for a one night stopover but would love to have stayed longer.
No bar we left our room at 09.00am came back at 16/00 Hrs and we had to go to reception and ask that our room be made up very poor.
Would not stay again, and it was not cheap at almost £200 for 2 nights
ผผู้เข้าพักCouldn't recommend this hotel enough. Fantastic position within 10 minute walk from train station. Our room was a good size, very clean, cosy and decorated beautifully. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a good selection.
JJDLMClean, tastefully furnished, very large rooms. Had a pleasant night’s stay. However, I felt that as a Black woman, I was met with some caution/suspicion by particularly one member of staff, as I initially approached the desk to check-in that evening; it certainly wasn’t a warm welcome. Top tip: Q Two car park LS1 2FH, Just Park, £18 for two days and easy walk to the hotel.
ผผู้เข้าพักGood location next to train station - due to ongoing building works at the train station it’s easiest/quicker to get to the hotel near the entrance/exit closest to platform 16 (I ply found this out after walking the long way round 🤦♀️).
Refurbished room was nice. Bath was small. Would opt for walk-in shower next time. Temperature too warm but staff provided a fan on request.
Double bed fine for a solo traveller. Wouldn’t have been too comfortable for two.
No radio in room or on TV which would have been nice.
Robes, slippers, tea/coffee making facilities, iron and hair fro provided.
Breakfast - good selection for hot and cold breakfast options. Would be nice to have better decaf coffee.
Newly renovated lobby area was nice. Perfume smell wafted into breakfast room and was a bit overpowering at times. That being said the ground floor entrance doesn’t smell good (you’ll get over it) so I can see why this is needed.
Newly renovated lobby/bar area is nice.
Staff were welcoming and helpful.
Overall I had a pleasant stay and I would stay here again as a solo traveller. If I was travelling with another adult we would require a larger bed to ensure a more comfortable rest/sleep so possibly an upgrade or a second room would be needed.
ผผู้เข้าพักThis is a really nice hotel and one that i visit frequently with my partner. The staff are friendly, the rooms have everything you’ll need and the lovation is perfect with shops next to it
ผผู้เข้าพักJust across the road from the train station so ideally located in the city centre. Check in is real easy and the staff very friendly and helpful. Not that I watched the TV but they have decent sized TV's in the rooms too...
HHermanhuiFor me, Leeds is one of the transit points, there are parking meters outside the hotel, very convenient. The room has sufficient heating. Since the weather outside is very cold and rainy, I got completely wet and wanted a hot drink to warm up. The hotel staff kindly provided me with a cup of a hot drink, which was very thoughtful. It’s a great hotel in Leeds.
ผผู้เข้าพักIt was 4 degrees outside and the windows were left open.
The heating system was on max and I could barely feel it, there was also a plug in heater in the room so the hotel obviously know it’s cold in there, but even the portable heater didn’t give out much warmth
Room is dated but I expected that for the price, I just didn’t anticipate the lack of adequate heating
