We stayed overnight as a rest stop on a long road trip. We had everything we needed, extremely friendly and efficient service. The bed was comfortable, the room was very clean. The best part was a freshly made, hot breakfast in the morning. I mention that it was hot because most times you get a lukewarm breakfast but this was piping hot and freshly made, which made a big difference to tired travellers.

A comfortable stay at an ideally located bed and breakfast, an easy walk into Chester. The facilities were good and clean. Breakfast was lovely too.

Lovely 140 year old house, owners welcoming, room was comfortable, clean & quiet, breakfast was hot and freshly cooked, our first time there but will return next time we are in Chester.

Had a lovely stay. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Ideal location with an easy 20min walk to the centre of Chester. Breakfast was included and very tasty. Highly recommend.

We were meeting up with some friends to visit the Christmas Market. We had a very friendly welcome. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally large. Very clean room, lovely staircase and decorated to a high standard. Lovely breakfast too. Just outside of town but a nice walk in to town.

Very much the authentic B&B experience here. Most will love it a few may not but it worked for us on a flying visit to Chester. The landlady is polite and helpful, the procedures clearly well practiced over the years and the guest house spotlessly clean. The breakfast was good. There is safe on site parking. What’s not to like? The decor is indeed a little dated and flowery, and the room we had was a little small but no problems. If I was to have a minor grumble it would be having to pay by cheque or cash. This is a bit unhelpful these days when both those payment methods are in rapid decline and less useful to customers than proprietors. Green gables price is quite close to that off the budget hotels so I guess breakfast and location is why I chose it.
