Hello,
I stayed at your hotel for one night in a twin room with my dad in July. Date Friday 14th July 2023. We have just received a parking fine for parking in your car park. This is strange as we provided our car registration number when we checked in? Our booking number from Trip.com is: ***********. The check in voucher number is: **********.
Please can you look in to this for me as I don’t live in the UK, I live in China. My dad received the letter and doesn’t know how to deal with this as he is 89 years old and can’t use the automated service on telephones and struggles with hearing, and my mum can’t help as she doesn’t speak English well.
Please cancel the fine as it’s been sent to us in error. Car registration number: ********

For the most part, this is a lovely hotel. It cost us around £7 for a taxi into Chester and the rooms are clean. The majority of staff are incredibly friendly. However, while out during the day our keys were deactivated to force us to the reception so that the manager could corner me about where my car was parked - which had been mentioned to another member of staff during check in and they had said it wasn't a problem. She had been trying to call me on the hotel room phone "all day", which is a ridiculous approach as who sits in their room all day? If she had just called me on my mobile number, which was used to book the room, I would have happily come back and moved the car. She demanded I move it in that moment and I explained that I'd had a drink but I'd move it in the morning. She then said she would move my car, which I wasn't comfortable with. She then walked away from me and wouldn't allow a rational, adult conversation. The tone and attitude were accusatory and her frustration clearly misdirected when she has made no realistic efforts to contact me; we were in the hotel until 11am and, as I said, I had my phone with me all day. I tried to explain to the reception staff why my car was where it was, and that I had discussed it on a rival and was dismissed with a "well I wasn't there so I wouldn't know" then she smirked at another guest. It's such a shame that has really put a dampner on the stay for us, as it was totally unnecessary.

We went to go to the zoo and can see that it’s in a good place for accessing Chester’s attractions.
The room was exactly what we needed, clean and had everything we needed.
We got there late and left early so we didn’t get to appreciate the amenities but they looked good!

We had the best time. Everyone was so accommodating to our son who spent most of his time wanting to run around all over the place. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to other to stay.

We had such a warm friendly welcome from the receptionist which was lovely! The room was nice with a huge bed, and we loved the personal touch of the page of staff’s recommendations for things to do in Chester! The pool is absolutely lovely, advertised as the “warmest pool in chester” which surely must be true- it was lush! Great sauna, steam room and jacuzzi too. Breakfast was nice and we liked playing on the pool table too (£1 a game).
Unfortunately we found the pillows a bit uncomfortable, and noise from the corridor could be heard clearly from the room, so we didn’t get a great night’s sleep. But we otherwise had a lovely stay.
