Nacar Hotel Cartagena, Curio Collection by Hilton

It’s important to know that the Nacar hotel has 2 properties in Cartagena, each a block away from each other but very different hotels. This is not mentioned anywhere when booking. I ended up at the sister property which was noisy at night , didn’t have an elevator and doesn’t have a backup generator for when power goes out. Which it did during my stay. I do want to compliment the very friendly staff that I met while staying there.

We had a fantastic four-night stay at the Nacar! The property is lovely, the location is wonderful and the staff is absolutely wonderful! They were super friendly, helpful and really exceeded expectations. The breakfasts were delicious. Our room was gorgeous. We especially enjoyed the private pool. If you’re staying in the old walled city, definitely pick the Nacar. You’ll be glad you did!

Great boutique hotel. Safe, comfortable, clean, good wifi, big comfy beds, good AC, good water pressure in the shower.

We enjoyed our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard, the staff even came to the door in the evening, to see if there was anything else we needed, very nice touch. The hotel is in the quieter part of town, so you don’t hear all the noise late at night, but only a 10 min walk away if you want to be part of it. They also have a rooftop pool, which we took advantage of, to cool down in the afternoon.

This is the old Tcherassi Hotel. The property is clean and in a good location. The room we had was clean and comfortable. However, the staff is friendly but have lost that ‘special touch’ that the old administration had. The rooftop bar is just OK. It is ageing and is in need of a bit of love and tlc and it could do with a better music selection, especially during the day (techno at 10 am isn’t really my bag, especially if there is hardly anyone there. It’s just odd). The pool is ok/good but they need to provide more shadow as it is an absolute oven in the sun.

Our first time in Cartagena and the NACAR did not disappoint. Would absolutely return to this property.

Professional, efficient, helpful, and friendly...world-class service. All staff members from front desk to housekeeping were excellent. BEST EVER service. We will surely return!

The only thing I can say bad about this hotel is that it needs to increase its the breakfast buffet or give it a little more variety.

Nice hotel but expensive. The restaurant and bar pool service needs improvement.
