Beautiful facility, very well maintained, well run, large room. Staff tries to be very helpful. But you ultimately need a car to visit any sites and the guests are overwhelmingly French. The beach is rocky and small. The breakfast was the worst meal we had in Italy by far. Managia does an awesome job as a self contained, all inclusive resort. It’s extremely clean, extremely well organised and has all the amenities you’d expect from this type of property. But if you don’t speak French and / or want to spend a lot of time in places like Noto, you’re better off staying elsewhere.

We had to spend €5 per towel and was not able to eat a single thing between 2pm and 7pm. Food was inedible and low quality. Super mass and the pool smelled funny.

Not for the British Im afraid..obv a French/Italian all inc holiday hotel.. Miles from any eateries...so why offer B&B?.....and the breakfast was poor continental style .... AI option was for all other nationalities..."but not for you".....actually spoken to me CAR is essential ..please make this known

We had a great time at Himera resort. The staff are very friendly. Room is super clean very comfortable and nicely furnished. Breakfast is nice with plenty of choices and fresh food! The hotel manager kindly arranged for us a very special romantic dinner with Sicilian specialities menu in the beautiful garden. They have a lot of activities all day. The animation team is very active. They arranged for a lot of dances, games and shows !

Reviews really misrepresent - it’s awful here Currently staying here and arrived on Friday. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Unless you are All Inclusive you will have very little choice of places to eat. Supermarket is miles away. Hotel staff are really rude and not helpful at all. Hotel is really noisy and full of families. It’s impossible to get to sleep before the early hours of the morning. Staff follow me and my partner around the hotel as if they think we are going to steal things! I’ve never received such shocking service. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all. Also, you won’t get any help from staff unless you are fluent in Italian. Nobody speaks English.

This hotel is probably great if your intention is to be at the hotel 24/7, eat buffe and attend their activities. It could be located in any tourist place in the world as it is no signs of you being in so Sicily once you check in here. We arrived at 9.30 pm and then the restaurant was already closed (very early for Italy), the staff was not at all helpful to find a restaurant close by where we could go, closest restaurant was about 10 min drive so would recommend to have a car if you intend to see anything outside of the hotel. Staff does not speak English very well so it was useless calling the reception to ask for things (we tried to ask for an iron board without success). However, the rooms are clean and nice.

This resort is a family friendly resort that seems to cater to French, Dutch, and German tourists. Starting with the positives, the decor is well done. The lobby and common areas are well appointed. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Aurora in the restaurant in the morning deserves special recognition for her warmth and accommodating attitude. The massage with Michele was superb. Now to the negatives which unfortunately outweigh the positives. We’ve traveled many places in Sicily and easily find good food. Unfortunately the food here is well below Sicilian standards. Breakfast never varied over our four night stay. No salumi selection (only turkey meat and Swiss cheese). For hot food only crepes or omelette with cheese (no additions). Coffee was instant, brewed coffee extra. There was a party every night with loud music, so much so we had to raise the volume of our TV. The parties ended at midnight. The safe in our room did not function but we decided not to request a repair. It is billed as a four star resort but that is generous. If you’re a family looking for activities to occupy your children day and night then this might suit you just beware the food will not be at the level Sicilians are known for.

Mi riprometto sempre di lasciare una recensione per i posti che visito e che lo meritano, ma puntualmente per un motivo o per un altro non lo faccio. Questo resort merita assolutamente il mio tempo, anche nell’intento di aiutare i futuri ospiti ad avere un’idea chiara sul cosa aspettarsi. Gli ambienti costruiti sono ristrutturati sapientemente, pari al nuovo. Reception e sale comuni ampie e molto belle. Abbiamo soggiornato qui una settimana a metà agosto, con nostra figlia di quasi 7 anni, in formula pensione completa. La nostra camera era un 4 posti al piano terra, con piccolo patio con tavolino e due sedie su un piccolo prato, soluzione utile per asciugare costumi e asciugamani e lasciare giochi da spiaggia & co senza portarli in camera. L’esposizione era a ovest quindi il pomeriggio si andava in pieno sole e anche l’entrata fatta interamente da vetrate ne veniva inondata. Sì sopperiva al conseguente calore con l’aria condizionata. Un neo è proprio l’entrata, costituita da una porta in vetro con doppie tende interne (oscuranti e non), scorrevoli, che intralciavano in entrata e in uscita se si voleva lasciare le tende tirate per motivi di privacy. (Suggerisco tende attaccate alla vetrata.) La stanza era carina e moderna, anche se gli spazi un po’ limitati; il bagno bello e grande, con anche un bel mobile capiente sotto lavabo. In linea di massima soggiorno confortevole ma consiglio l’acquisto di topper o materassi alternativi per schiene più delicate. La piscina è fantastica: sempre super pulita ed ordinata grazie al bagnino (Patrick?) molto professionale e disponibile, con piccola vasca con acqua alta 60 cm e la restante, grande, 120 cm. Entrambe inserite in un grande rettangolo in pietra chiara, a sfioro. 4 docce con acqua sempre calda, bagni puliti, numerosi sdraio, zona solarium più tranquilla e Pool bar corredano questo servizio che è sempre molto frequentato. In effetti molte persone prediligono la piscina perché bisogna dire che nonostante struttura e servizi siano top, la spiaggia purtroppo non è allo stesso livello. Questo è dovuto al fatto che la spiaggia e il bagnasciuga sono caratterizzati da sabbia grossa, ciottoli di varia grandezza (sempre tondi, mai appuntiti) e piccoli sassolini. Questo rende l’ingresso in acqua difficoltoso e a volte un po’ doloroso, e non tutti vi ci si avventurano volentieri (anziani e bambini in primis). Avere sandali in plastica o scarpette da scogli può aiutare. Oppure basta spostarsi di qualche metro per avere un accesso all’acqua quasi totalmente sabbioso, ma la passeggiata sul lungomare è sempre caratterizzata dalla presenza più o meno abbondante di ciottoli. Il mare è pulito e trasparente, dopo un iniziale livello alto si risale ad altezza ginocchio con fondo totalmente sabbioso. In sostanza: superato l’ostacolo di ingresso e uscita il mare è godibile, ma non aspettatevi di trovare i colori e la trasparenza che ci sono in altre parti della Sicilia.
