The price is reasonable with breakfast included. Yet the staff did not us that on Christmas Day the breakfast time finished at 10 am. Therefore we followed the guidelines introduction printed in our room and reached to the breakfast room at 1040am …even the the staff in the breakfast room said I am not the only one who came with confusion they said the staff at the front table did not tell us clearly too.
Overall it’s a decent stay during Christmas
The room is clean and tidy and provided with complementary coffee capsules
My second stay at Selina with my partner, last valentines it was great but this time we had our anniversary. They had a better room available so upgraded us to a seafront room.
But the room was absolutely freezing and the radiator was on a timer so it was off when we got back to the room around 11pm onward. The windows were really drafty and loud from the wind and rain outside and the duvet was thin.
Pretty room and nice staff but pity about the stay. Not the best for a winter anniversary trip.
I picked this hotel as it was my husbands birthday and wanted to treat him to 2 nights away. When we arrived I had to ring a number on the door. A man came and said I was to read my email. I did not get an email. He then charged me £30 for a parking permit. I explained we had a blue badge but he said we still need one. Turns out we did not need to pay at all.nor did he explain you have to drive around for ages to try and get a parking space in the right zone! The room was ok. Bathroom had not been cleaned properly, someone's earring was still on the side. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. Code to get into building and room was a brilliant idea,no need for extra keys. I would not stay again. It's a lot of money for a room that felt like a hostel. We did not feel welcomed and nothing was really explained to us. For the amount we paid I expected more.
We stayed for 3 nights and The room was a lot nicer than expected. We was in room 14 which was downstairs. We could hear literally every sound, the walls are paper thin but didn’t really bother us. The beds were comfy surprisingly. The room was lovely but could have been a lot cleaner. There was no tea/coffee which I was really surprised at. Had no problems with the shower. The kitchen was big but we didn’t use this. However, one night (long story short) my partner stayed up later than Me, came to bed and shortly after, heard lots of noise at the door, went to have a look and a random stranger came into our room, said oh sorry and walked out. Whether this was a misunderstanding or not, we really felt unsafe after this. Luckily this was the last night. We really want to know how the man got into our room. There is a key safe to every room with a spare key with a Number on a card to open it which you receive at check in. Maybe it’s the same number for every room - if it is this definitely isn’t safe. Anything could have happened, ain’t worth thinking about. We could have been robbed of all our belongings while we was sleeping and/or while we was out. Awaiting a response from the hotel.
ผผู้เข้าพักBooked a deluxe double room for £127.00 for a night. Arrived to find we had to pay £50 (damage) deposit before we could get in. First time ever! The location didnt have a reception but a door entry system. Which went to a mobile phone with a full mailbox! Stood outside in the cold for 45 minutes. Finally found someone who worked in the spa. They tried to help but would not give contact numbers. Got in to the property and was given the key box number which was on the room door!! Room was cold, damp, small with a bunk bed arrangement. Light was painted over and falling out of the ceiling, Wardrobe was a metal cabinet found in a workshop! Radiator was not working and an electric substitue was in the room but didnt look safe. The power socket which the tele was supposed tobe plugged into was falling out of the wall. There was a fake nail on the bed. The shower room had a smell and although relatively clean had staining in the shower. We finally got a number for one of the hotels other locations in Brighton from a website. The receptionist was friendly. We explained the issue that the room was not as advertised or paid for. They explained that the computor system was to fault!!! No other rooms were available and suggested contacting another hotel in the Brighton area which they sent us the details for. We had to pay a premium rate well above our origonal book for the second hotel. The receptionist for Otto Breeze did refund out £50damage deposit on the day and the staff at the spa were helpful (although not allowed to supply information). We received a refund for the total amount of £127.00 but this was a stressful experience.
