Voco Southampton by IHG is a nice boutique hotel with a modern look. It’s ideal for layover before your cruise from London Southampton. The hotel is near the cruise terminal, it could be walking distance or a short taxi ride. We’re boarding the Sky Princess and the hotel staff helped us book a radio taxi, which cost 10 Euros. Hotel room was reasonably spacious but a little rundown especially for the bathroom. Vanity would need an upgrade to justify the room rate for 280 pounds per night. Staff at the reception and the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. We had early dinner at the lobby restaurant. The fish and chips were really delicious. The only major problem was the hotel lifts. The two lifts with very limited capacity, 450kg each, was far from adequate for 150 guest rooms, especially during check out time. It was a very long wait, or you’re prepared for walking down the stairs with your luggages.

The hotel do not make it clear that you have to pay for the swimming pool each time you use it. When you have children who are expecting to swim, this is simply not good enough. When booking it clearly says there are leisure facilities, including a swimming pool. It was only when checking in that we were told you had to pay £5 per person! We booked a ‘golf view’ room. When we arrived in the room there was a view of a bush, tree and bins with golf buggies in the distance come the morning, hardly a golf view in our opinion. Very disappointed children who were excited to be able to see a fairway! Breakfast was massively understaffed. The two staff members working were working very hard but with a full hotel, there should have been more staff working. It took far too long for glasses to be topped up to use for juice and the pastries ran out and were not replaced in time for us to eat. All staff members were lovely and worked hard but I feel management need to act upon previous reviews. We were told that the golf view issue was historical and an issue with Trip and how they advertise but if this was the case, why had nothing been done to address it? We were offered a drinks voucher as compensation but we refused as we had already purchased our non-alcoholic drinks for the evening. Perhaps not the best offer for a family! We asked if we could have our swim paid for instead and were told no because the leisure facilities were separate to the hotel??

I always have a lovely stay here. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are good size, everything you need and breakfast is fab.

Hotel was clean and friendly and beds were super comfy. Would definitely stay again

สำหรับราคาแล้วก็โอเค แต่ถ้าจ่ายมากกว่านี้คงไม่ประทับใจเท่าไหร่ ผ้าปูที่นอนและผ้าเช็ดตัวก็ขาดเป็นขุย มีรูใหญ่ตรงรอยต่อปลอกผ้านวม ประตูห้องน้ำในห้องนอนมีกระจกฝ้าเต็มบาน ซึ่งไม่เหมาะกับลูกสาวของฉันเลย อาหารเช้าปรุงสุกแล้วเลอะเทอะไปหมด มีค่าใช้จ่ายเพิ่มเติมเมื่อจองที่จอดรถ ซึ่งต้องจ่ายเงินเพิ่ม และทางโรงแรมจะเรียกเก็บเงินมัดจำจากค่าห้อง ซึ่งเงินมัดจำจะคืนให้ตามราคาที่แจ้งไว้ แต่โรงแรมอื่นๆ ในเซาแธมป์ตันก็ทำแบบนี้ไม่ได้ แถมยังได้มาตรฐานการเช่าโรงแรมระดับเดอะสตาร์อีก! เมื่อพิจารณาจากหลายปีก่อน ที่นี่เคยเป็นหนึ่งในโรงแรมที่หรูหราที่สุดในเซาแธมป์ตัน แต่ตอนนี้ไม่ใช่แล้ว มันทรุดโทรมและสิ้นเปลืองเงินเกินไป ราคาที่จ่ายไปก็เหมาะสมกับมาตรฐานความสะอาด พนักงานก็โอเค แต่สถานที่นี้ต้องการการปรับปรุง โดยเฉพาะกระจกบานประตูห้องน้ำ ระวังค่าใช้จ่ายแอบแฝงด้วย

โรงแรมน่ารัก สถานที่สวยงาม รู้สึกเหมือนอยู่นอกเมืองเซาท์ตัน แต่อยู่ห่างออกไปเพียง 15 นาที (ลูกสาวในยูนิที่นั่น) ห้องพักดีเรามีผู้บริหาร แต่นี่ไม่คุ้มกับฉัน มันให้เครื่องชงกาแฟที่ดีกว่าแก่คุณเท่านั้นและเราไม่ได้อยู่ในห้องพอที่จะใช้ ประหยัด 20 ปอนด์ ไม่มีลิฟต์ดังนั้นกรณีที่ขึ้นไปบนชั้นสามจึงเจ็บปวดเล็กน้อย หากคุณกําลังรอเรือข้ามฟากและมีกรณีมากมายนี่อาจเป็นปัญหา เราเห็นบางคนต่อสู้กับสิ่งนี้ อาหารเช้าดีมากและพนักงานเป็นมิตรมาก เราไม่ได้กินที่นั่นในเวลากลางคืนมีเมนูเบอร์เกอร์และมันฝรั่งทอด แต่ Chilworth Arms ในบาร์ใกล้เคียงนั้นดีมาก สระว่ายน้ําดีมากเล็ก 16 เมตร แต่ดีมากมีจากุซซี่อบไอน้ําและซาวน่า มีผ้าเช็ดตัวให้ พนักงานเป็นกันเองมาก แม้ว่าสระว่ายน้ําจะมีกระเบื้องค่อนข้างลื่น สิ่งอํานวยความสะดวกเพื่อการพักผ่อนอยู่ห่างจากโรงแรมไปหน่อย ห่างจากหน้าโรงแรมเพียง 300 ร้อยเมตร แต่พอต้องร่มถ้าฝนตก สรุปแล้วเป็นโรงแรมที่คุ้มค่าและน่าอยู่ ถูกกว่าของ Leonardo ใน Soton มาก และยังใกล้กับ Uni ฯลฯ

I checked in at 3pm and the air conditioner did not work it was like a warm hairdryer. The temperature was 28c inside the room it was very hot a heat wave that day. I went down stairs and the reception was empty. I had to wait for 15 mins then some one called raman eventually turned up and was uninterested to say the least. She told me that it could be controlled from behind the bar or something like that but that is not true. I had to ask again 3 hours later this time she got some boy to come out from behind the bar to claim he had a control of all the air conditioners in the hotel. Why the lies, after emailing trip .com they admitted the AC was faulty and I moved to another room. It was trip.com who helped me not the disinterested staff why didnt they move me the first time. Not impressed.

Booked hotel just for a night in order to spend the day at Beaulieu the following day. Hotel room was clean and staff had accommodated our request for a cot with the room being spacious for our family of 2 adults and 2 young children. Amenities are basic but for our stay it was perfect. Those wanting to stay for longer may find the amenities a little limiting. Parking is included with the stay which is helpful however noting a quirk is that if you want to charge your EV/fill up on petrol or happen to drive your car next door for drive through food/small purchases, you technically need to exit the roadside services and drive away from the location before turning back down at the nearest junction, a round trip is approximately 15-20min. There is a one way system in effect. Quieter periods may allow you to quickly get back without causing any issues. Staff were friendly and welcoming. There is also a voucher for £10 to use at the service station available for £7.50 for hotel guests at the hotel reception desk which is handy.

The hotel is in a great, quiet location and it is a very beautiful building. The room was clean and pleasant, but it wasn't quite what I expected. Through Trip I thought I had booked one room up from the smallest option, but alas turns out I had not! The bed was also advertised as a standard double, it definitely is not in the smaller rooms, it is a small double, and this made sleeping for two a little uncomfortable. The room was also very hot even though we turned the radiator off and had the window open all night but I think this is just due to it being an older building, heat rises etc. The pool room really needs TLC. It is very overlooked and we felt really lets the hotel down. It's shame as it's a lovely space - even a quick lick of paint would bring it back to life if money doesn't allow for larger maintenance. Staff were all very friendly, especially the two we were served by in the restaurant for dinner. The food was okay but a little over priced but the service made up for that. All in all for a quick overnight stop it was fine.
