After Arriving in Denmark from Vietnam for a business trip, this hotel was a stone through from the office where I was going to be spending the next 10 days in Aarhus, Denmark. The Hotel is modern, functional and clean, the room was comfortable, and the breakfast was perfect, the staff were always attentive and my overall experience during my stay was excellent. The hotel is somewhat outside of the town of Aarhus, but a small frequent train/tram service is literally a few hundred meters walk from the hotel... the hotel as a small bar where you can enjoy a nice cold pint of Danish Beer!!!

Perfect location, but the hotel is kind of old. They did a decent job to keep the room clean, but it had an old smell, particularly the toilet. I would say it is suitable for short stay only. The staff is nice tho.
My wife and I stayed for three nights at the hotel, attending a conference in Aarhus. The hotel is very central located, almost opposite the railway station and with excellent access to the shopping streets. The hotel is a little old fashioned, but very charming in an art deco style. The room we had was quite small with almost no place for storing suitcases, and located on the first floor close to the entrance of the hotel. However, as we were told in advance, the location could be quite noisy, it surprised us positively that it was very quiet, almost no disturbing from the pedestrians or the traffic outside. Breakfast was served downstairs in a wine cellar, it lseems. Breakfast was sumptous and good, typical Danish food and with multiple choices. Staff was attentive and friendly. In the loppy free coffee, fruit and cakes were available free of charge for the guests in a nice, but small place to sit down for small talks after the meetings. We came by car and was offered parking space in a parking garage about five minutes walk from the hotel. OK, but not so practical for travellers with heavy luggage, as it was not so easy to park outside the hotel. The elevator was old fashioned and quite small, no problem for us staying on the first floor, but more challenging for those staying at the upper floors. Except for the small size of our room, the hotel gives us good memories, definitely one to recommend if you are looking for central location and not going after aultramodern. It offered a solid brakfast and a central location. Best for couples, perhaps not so good for families with small children. Henry J Grindheim, Asker, Norway
I accompanied my husband on a business trip. We stayed here for four nights. Our room was nice. It was on the smaller side, but it was comfortable. A safe would have been nice though. Breakfast was served daily. The options were nice. They included some hot items, meats, cheeses, salads, breads, yogurt, chia pudding and fruit. Monday and Thursday evenings you are served a free glass of wine in the lobby. The fitness center is nice. It was large with bikes, treadmills, a rowing machine, free weights and more. The staff was very helpful to us as we planned our days of exploring the city. There’s plenty to see. A grocery store is across the street which was convenient. The only issue we had was the window cleaner opening our door without knocking. Luckily we had the door chained. Management was very concerned when we notified them. It was handled properly and hopefully it won’t happen again.
IizzymengThe hotel is located right in the centre of the old town of Aarhus, a stone throw from the Domkirke. There is no off-street parking available but you could always use the Navitas car park or even the amazing Dokk1 Parkering in the docks. The handsome stucco façade stands out in the locality and the owners took great care in tastefully decorating the interior of the building, that includes its historical elevator, wall paintings and the reception area. Therefore, it’s a bit of shame that the same has not been extended to ensure the comfort of its guests. Our Standard Room was overlooking the main square but it was rather dark and not very spacious, with a classic décor. The lighting was limited with the main switch not working – side lights had to be turned on individually. There was precious little storage space as only about a third of the wardrobe was available and no other appropriate closets/drawers around. There was a rather high step between the bedroom and bathroom, just ideal for tripping on, in the dark! The bed was quite uncomfortable, with a very thin foam mattress and topped with a smallish duvet. The TV set was on the side of the bed (!) and programmes were only available if you had a suitably tuned smartphone device. We’re all for the options being offered to tech-savvy travellers but surely there has to be easier access for those guests who are less clued-in? The bathroom was of standard size, with a walk-in shower. The hairdryer had to be plugged in by the mirror, above the bathroom sink (there was literally nowhere else to do so, with a mirror!), so not quite sure about the safety aspect of such an arrangement. Bathrobes and slippers were provided. There was a safe-box but it was not working despite the valiant efforts of one of the receptionist. WiFi signal was good. Tea and coffee facilities were offered as well as a frugally stocked minibar. No free water was available. The breakfast was quite limited with a minimal selection of cold dishes and even less cooked food, available. The bread was very tasty. The hotel doesn’t provide dinners. The staff in the reception and the breakfast room were very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. They couldn’t do enough for us and always responded with a smile. Overall, it felt like the hotel has lots of potential although lots of that seems to have been squandered on half-baked ideas. Good enough to stay in as long as you don’t expect fireworks.
We stayed at Kings Garden 1 in August. The location is on the top floor of an office building, and it is obvious the unit was renovated from a previous office space. Their listing specifically boasts an elevator available to use for a 4th floor unit. When we arrived, the elevator was not working. When we entered the unit, the floors were still completely wet from mopping. The kitchen area is an afterthought, with lack of storage space and items such as a cutting board or drying rack. There is no AC so we left windows open to keep the apartment cool, but there is a LOT of noise at night. However, one night there was a party next door in Daniel & Jacobs adjacent apartment, Kings Garden 2, that lasted from 11pm through the next morning past 10am. We could not sleep all night due to the loud music and noise from the party. When we contacted their email reception, which they claim is the fastest way to receive a response in 30 minutes, we did not hear back for over 3 hours. Then, when I finally heard back, I was given a security phone number to call for a complaint instead and they would not provide any assistance. We never received any follow up until I asked, and found out they did kick out the neighboring guests in THEIR apartment. This took multiple back and forth emails. They were not apologetic and would not issue a partial refund for the terrible night we had. Absolutely terrible customer service given the price of their units. Do not stay in any of their units if you want any sort of hospitality.
VVivien_KenjiLes plus : - Système de check-in très pratique. - Très bonne insonorisation. - Sanitaires fonctionnels.
One thing I apreciated was that my bed didn't rattle when the sleeper on top moved. The bed confort was good. Very good location. Well maintained. Less good : Quite few toilets on 5th floor. I wonder if the one near room 515 - which is rather large - could be divided (upon length) in 2 toilets with entrances in the corridor of room 515.
