This establishment is our home-away-from-home. It is a quaint, independent hotel that is actually a landmark. It has aged well, with lots of renovations and investments made into its infrastructure. The best part, however, is the friendliness of the staff. They are genuinely nice people and go the "extra mile" to ensure that our stay is always comfortable. For example, we asked for an early check in and a late check out and were accommodated. It will be even better when the restaurant associated with the hotel re-opens; their breakfasts were always nice.

We did not end up staying. There was a bedbug and we checked out. The front desk confirmed it and refunded us. Room 103.

This place was exactly like you’d expect just by its name. The staff was awesome. Definitely affordable. Our room was cleaned with fresh linens towels everyday. We wish they had breakfast. They have a cool lobby. Gives you the feel of a place a cowboy might stay. Only downside was no bathroom fan and jetted tub didn’t work.

Super cool old Cowboy themed hotel. A little tired but that’s part of the charm. The staff was very very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned and made up every day perfectly. Not usually available at this price point for sure. I would stay again. Would love a danish or the like to be available in the am.

The walls are paper thin there was a TV playing and kind of irritated cause was early morning was trying torest ...was a good place to stay

This place is very old. I wouldn't be surprised if it was built in the 1800's. Theres no A/C wall units like you normally see in hotels. Its hot water radiator, heat only, no fan, no cooling. I had the thermostat set to zero and the heat would not stop. I had to wrap the heater in towels and keep the front door open to try to cool the room down just enough to get any sleep. Couldn't even open the window because it was secured shut. Unless you like sleeping in a 100 year old sauna with a shower head that's chest high, I'd recommend not staying here

There must have been a change of management since the last time we stayed at the Dude Rancher. Staff seemed much more professional, and the place was cleaner. The real attraction of the place is both its price point and its location close to downtown and close to the hospitals. I read once a study by Marriott, that the average length of time a hotel guest spends awake in a hotel room, is 20 minutes, so you can pay more, but why?
