Bayfield Boutique B&B

An absolute GEM of a Bed & Breakfast! We had a lovely stay and felt completely at home and taken care of. Mary and John have thought of every little detail to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. The breakfasts were thoughtful and delicious and enjoyed in their beautiful outdoor space. They are perfectly located in Bayfield where you are a walk away from both the beautiful sunsets on the beach and the quaint stores as you stroll though the downtown area. Thank you Mary and John for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I stayed for a night at the Bayfield Boutique Bed and Breakfast after reading other excellent reviews. It exceeded our expectations. The building itself is charming and many of the older features such as the beautiful hardwood floors have been preserved, however every modern amenity for comfort of the guests has been incorporated. There is a complimentary coffee bar in the lounge just inside the main entrance with a selection, not only of coffee but of treats and sweets. Mary, the hostess and her husband John were the most wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed chatting with them and meeting their two lovely terriers. Our room was at the top of a fairly steep flight of stairs but I understand there is a ground level, pet friendly suite for those for whom mobility might be a challenge. Breakfast was a delicious egg and vegetable sandwich on whole grain bread with a fruit cup and orange juice and coffee served in a wicker picnic basket. We opted to sit out on the front porch with a view of the park to enjoy our meal, but the backyard and deck overlooking the gardens would be a beautiful spot to have breakfast, coffee or a glass of wine - or two! Our room itself - the “Bourbon” - was quite large with two club chairs positioned to watch tv and an extremely comfortable king size bed with great pillows. Of the three rooms on the upper level ours was the only one with the private bathroom across the hall - the others are “ensuite” . Bathrobes are provided. Just outside the room is a refrigerator for guest use as well as a water cooler, more snacks and a huge basket of beach towels and a rack of cozy blankets for cooler nights. Mary and John have really thought of everything their guests might need! The location is an easy walk into lovely Bayfield, where there is a good selection of restaurants and shops and is also an easy walk to the beach. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

The B&B is beautifully decorated with wonderful gardens. Mary and John are excellent hosts, who are very friendly and fun to talk to. The breakfasts are delicious. This was our second visit and we will surely be back again. Bayfield is a lovely relaxing destination.

Had a beautiful 2 night stay. Mary was a great host and her place is very comfortable and relaxing. Mary has a keen sense of detail which is evident throughout her home and property. The location is fantastic and easily accessible. Nice to have breakfast on the deck with her 3 Scottish Terriers keeping watch at your feet. I Highly recommend a stay while in the area.

My husband and I went here last year and enjoyed it so much we came back with my sister and her husband. We are planning to come back with another couple. Great B & B, Mary and John are the best hosts. Everything about the B & B is gorgeous. Large rooms, wonderfully decorated. A fabulous deck you can relax on while you eat and drink. Fantastic location, lovely town with friendly people. We highly recommend Bayfield Boutique Bed and Breakfast. If you have time you have to try some of the spa treatments.

We chose this B&B for a sister's weekend. It is perfectly situated close to the main street of Bayfield. From the minute we arrived, we felt very welcomed. The B&B is cozy and well appointed. We enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, the cosy sitting room and lovely hosts. Everything a B&B should be - highly recommend!

Charming property, charming host (Mary is extraordinary), charming village -- nothing quite like crossing the street with your expertly-prepared breakfast housed in an antique basket and enjoying and communing with the birds and the breezes. What a lovely way to greet each day. We slept so well -- we so enjoyed ourselves. We're not kids -- way past "senior" status -- and we were so at home.

While volunteering at an event in Bayfield, we stayed at Mary and Johns beautiful B&B..their place is beautiful and they go above an beyond to make you feel welcome..we had a wonderful stay and will be back!..next time we will have to make time for the SPA!

My husband and I stayed as guests for a wedding at the venue. It was a lovely wedding and stay over. Mary, John and staff were fabulous and attentive. The wedding ceremony and dinner was fantastic. Room was clean, beautiful and comfortable. Our breakfast in the morning was superb. I would recommend this location for an intimate wedding and/or a stay in this charming B & B.
