I stayed at Regal Palace Resort with my girlfriend and her family, and overall it was a really enjoyable experience especially as a place to spend proper downtime together rather than just a quick hotel stay. The hotel itself is impressive in scale. It has that classic luxury resort feel big open spaces, landscaped grounds, and a slightly grand, almost old-school style. It’s not ultra modern, but it feels established and well put together, which actually suited the atmosphere of a family trip. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and importantly, clean. Nothing overly flashy, but everything worked as it should. When you’re staying with family, that matters more than design trends everyone was comfortable, and there was plenty of space to relax without feeling cramped. What stood out most for me was the environment. It’s quite peaceful, especially compared to busier city hotels. Walking around the grounds, sitting outside, or just spending time by the pool felt like a proper break. It’s the kind of place where you can actually switch off a bit. Since I was there with my girlfriend’s family, the overall vibe of the hotel worked really well. It’s definitely more suited to groups, families, or longer stays rather than a quick one night business stop. There’s enough space and facilities that everyone can do their own thing without it feeling crowded. Food was decent good variety, and easy to find something for everyone, which again is important when you’re with a group. Service was solid too staff were polite and helpful, even with the language barrier at times. If I had to be critical, parts of the hotel could probably do with a bit of updating. You can tell it’s been around for a while, and in some areas it shows slightly. But it didn’t take away from the experience.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel and was truly impressed by the overall service, cleanliness, and comfort. The staff were professional, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made the whole experience even better. A special thanks to Robbie, who was super helpful throughout my stay. He was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was smooth and comfortable for me. His support and positive attitude really stood out and made a big difference. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would be happy to stay here again.

We enjoyed 2 nights family trip with two kids this summer. For the location, it takes almost 2 hours by car from Shenzhen, a big far away from the main city but I feel relaxed and good fresh air from the countryside. The hotel has facilities like water park, swimming pool, indoor playground, 62 hot springs (next to the hotel) which fully occupies our both kids during our stay. We didn’t leave our hotel and spent our breakfast and dinner buffets (both came with the hotel package with trip.com, quite a good deal), we had a 2-5 set lunch in hotel’s Chinese restaurant, the quality is quite good and not pricy. There’s an outdoor pool in our balcony, we had a family hot springs moment after back to the room after our buffet dinner, very peaceful and good time with family. It feels like we were in japan but in a very reasonable price in this hotel. Free drinks and fruits were provided around the water park and hot springs area which credits for their services. Thank you for the wonderful service and facilities during our stay.

Our stay at this hotel was truly wonderful. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and even though the spa and free photo session were part of the hotel’s standard package for all guests, the team still made us feel extra special by surprising us with a beautiful cake. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, and the view is absolutely stunning—perfect for photography. We took so many lovely photos right from our room and around the property🎂💖😍💜 Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety and quality. But what really stood out was the hospitality. Every staff member were friendly, especially house keeper Judy. She was super efficient, responded to every message very quickly, and made sure all our requests were handled without delay. Truly a gem 💎 ✨️ 💖 Highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone looking for a clean, scenic, and well-managed hotel with heartwarming service. I visited Huidong Island Resort with my boyfriend for his birthday, and unfortunately, our experience wasn't great. The biggest challenge was the language barrier - we don't speak Chinese, and it made navigating the resort extremely difficult. The resort's location seemed promising, but we encountered a significant issue with a local woman who scammed us for a boat ride. We were asked to pay 30RMB (the actual cost to the captain) and then she demanded an additional 200RMB to her own account. The language barrier made the situation confusing, and we only realized we'd been scammed after she had left. It was a disappointing start to our trip. Trying to make the best of it, we headed to the ocean for a swim the next day. However, after about 20 minutes, we were asked to exit the water due to a potential typhoon approaching. To add to the disappointment, the swimming pool was closed, and many amenities we had expected to be available weren't operational. This was pretty disappointing given they were part of why we chose the resort. On the bright side, the hotel room itself was very nice, and the breakfast was good. But overall, our experience fell short of expectations, largely due to the communication challenges and unavailability of advertised amenities. Would I recommend? Maybe not without significant improvements in addressing language barriers and ensuring advertised services are available. For travelers who speak Chinese or are prepared for such challenges, it might be a different story.

That was an awesome stay! The hot springs were top-notch! My family and I had a lot of fun swimming and splashing in the pools! Best thing-it wasn’t crowded, which made a great relaxing experience for us! Perfect getaway for a rainy day! The rooms are beautiful and brand new; every room has cosy beds, clean towels, huge balcony with enormous stone-made tub. Big plus 1: rooms are equipped with ‘smart’ toilet. Big plus 2: drinks in fridge (cola, beer, sprite, 4 bottles of water) as well as awesome tea leaves bags are for free! Big plus 3: early check-in and late check-out (11am and 1pm in our case) were available on the days of our stay Big plus 4: my son got a cute toy as a gift from the reception staff. Great stay, top service, we’re so coming back ❤️
