My best friend of 20 years and I recently went on our first ever girls trip (we are now both 40) and booked our first 3 nights at Sun Island Hotel and Spa Legian. Upon arrival we were both delighted with the architecture and presentation of the hotel, both clean and modern, yet still authentically Bali and traditional. Check in was a breeze, and every staff member we encountered was not only friendly and helpful, but genuinely cheerful. It says a lot about a place when ALL the staff are that happy all the time! Particular mention goes to the Restaurant manager who welcomed us warmly by name every morning with the most beautiful smile and upmost of care. We stayed on the ground floor in a twin share room, which was spotlessly clean, with fantastic aircon. It had a small balcony big enough for one person to stand on to vape, and the absence of any cigarette smoke on the premises was a DELIGHT. The pool areas (there are 2) are truly spectacular! We stayed away from the rooftop as we are both sun sensitive and it is better suited to sun worshippers working on their tan. The 4th floor pool bar suited us perfectly, with plenty of shaded areas for relaxing on sun lounges. Yes, the decking is in need of maintenance, but from what I understand works are set to replace the decking starting June. I can't wait to return to see the upgrade. Although the pool bars were not permanently staffed throughout our stay, a quick call using the bar phone, had whatever we required delivered quickly to us with no issue at all. It was actually such a luxury to have that pool area to ourselves most of the time. The view from the 4th floor Infinity pool is pretty special, and I thoroughly enjoyed living my best mermaid life splashing about. Breakfast every morning was basic, but delicious, consisting of fresh cooked eggs to order, alongside a buffet of noodles, rice, fruit and pastries. Food service was consistently great every morning. At the end of our 3 night stay we were both so sad to leave as the location of the hotel is absolutey PERFECT. Close enough to be walking distance to all the action and nightlife, we felt completely safe at all times, yet far enough away to be silent of a night time when we needed to sleep (in super comfy beds mind you). After a hiccup at our next hotel within a couple of hours of arriving,that we both couldn't look past, we made the decision to check out and return to Sun Island. To our delight, not only were we welcomed back with literal open arms, we were offered the same rate we had been paying (was an early bird rate when we booked and this was now a weekend) but put straight back into our freshly cleaned original room. Above and beyond doesn't even come close to the service we received. A small issue with the aircon was attended to as soon as we made mention of it and the remainder of our stay just felt like home. We both can't WAIT to return to Sun Island Legian on our next Bali adventure!

Perfect for the budget conscious yet this hotel offers everything you'd want in amenities and comfort. It has a beautifully clean swimming pool with excellent sun lounges and the rooms are far enough away from the street to be quiet and peaceful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the house-keeping is thorough and professional. The bed in my room was very comfortable and great size, the bathroom is clean and there was enough storage space for a comfortable few days. It is less than ten minutes from the airport which is perfect for transit travellers and only about ten minutes walk to German Beach. Very close to Lippo Mall and is at the heart of the restaurants area of Jalan Kartika Plaza. If you're not into 5 star resort type luxury, this hotel is ideal and I would happily stay here again.

First of all, the staff in this resort are exceptional. From the reception desk to the restaurants, they are all very helpful, friendly and genuine. Special shout out to Rias at the reception desk, Julio at the Marriott concierge desk, Novi, Widi, Pasek and the chef at the Tanat Liat Restaurant, Astika the activity coordinator, and more who I'm sorry I didn't copy their names. They all made the resort an unforgettable place for their guests! The hotel only opened last year that's why everything is brand new. The swimming pools are so relaxing. The activities schedule is so much fun. There are 4 nights a week they offer free cocktails and they were delicious! The breakfast buffet in the Backstage restaurant is impressive, there were even ice cream for breakfast! Do not miss out the Tanat Liat restaurant, which apparently is the top restaurant in Bali on Tripadvisor. Food was exceptional, staff were excellent! The hotel is not located by the beach. But they have a shuttle bus schedule going to their hotel private beach at Nusa Dua. I will definitely be returning to this resort when I go to Bali again!

Hotel complimentary are fun - we did sunrise yoga, aqua yoga, even a photoshoot. We paid for the spa (the MOST deeply relaxing massage - we tried the hot stone massage and maya special massage) and it was leaps and bounds BETTER than the one down the beach at the nest which was already highly raved online. We also booked the Indonesian cooking class - amazing food and recipes and location on roof top. Room is amazing as well, with extremely helpful amenities like a clothing line in bathroom & a huge space next to the tub for fuss free bubble bath relaxation. Also, there's milk bath service for our in-room tub. Amazing. Already recommended to friends and family & we will 100% be back!

From the lobby, where you will find the funny Bawa to our jimbaran villa to the excellent seevice. Every tiny deatil is well studied and you cant never fins somwethung you would peovide constructive critisisim for! You must go and meet Dewi& SRI from Taman Wantilan restaurant where they offer buffet breakfast and dinner (please don't miss it specially the Indian section). You don't want to miss the spa treatments as well..I tried the baldness massage which was just perfect along with TDA facial and before the day of check out I tried the embrace treatment which is an outdoor massage where you hear the sounds of the ocean. Big thanks to Suri for the discount she provided for us as we had treatments daily. Special thanks to Dika Guest experience manager & the hotel manager whom came to our table to ask if everything is OK. Special thanks goes to Khaola, guest experience manager for all the work and handling she offered us.

Their kindness makes you feel welcomed and their readiness to serve you at every moment truly makes it feel like you’re on holiday. The rooms and facilities are clean, beautiful pool and water fountain. Great spa to get a massage at and breakfast was good. Shuttle service that runs to and from Ubud Centre (only selected times, so make sure you know the schedule).
Although I gave them a 5/5, the are still things I think that they can improve on.
1. Housekeeping is quite slow, I stayed at the pool one day and had lunch at the restaurant, after 3 hours I returned to my room and it still wasn’t touched by housekeeping. I also waited longer on the day of my check-in to get to my room. Although I arrived early and was patient and understanding to wait until my room was ready at 14:00 I still ended up waiting another 30mins to get to my room. This was a little annoying as they already knew I was waiting a long time and feel like they could’ve somehow speeded up the service. I understand they have their cleaning standards, especially for a new check-in. Maybe they need to employ more housekeepers to fulfil the hotel’s requirements.
2. On the day of my arrival the pool wasn’t open due to bad weather days prior to my check-in, which I totally understand and grateful they tend to the pool so well. I was however offered 20% discount on the Spa, outdoor activities etc. through a paper that was placed on my bed after I got into my room. However this coupon wasn’t explained to me and when I tried to use it two days later for a massage I was told it was only valid for the day the pool was out of service.
3. Breakfast - I understand it’s a smaller hotel and I appreciate any hotel that tries to contribute to the environment by limiting food waste by only serving certain about of dishes, however a better variety would have been appreciated, especially for guests that stays for a couple of nights. With that the buffet breakfast only came with a Balinese Coffee or Tea. This was not explained before booking the room and this information wasn’t given by Trip.com. It does however say the buffet breakfast comes with coffee or tea. But like many many other hotels I’ve stayed at and mentioned that the buffet breakfast comes with coffee or tea it usually means that there is a variety of coffee or teas available. And wanting a cappuccino or iced latte for breakfast would cost you extra.
4. The restaurant, drink usually came not as cold as one would expect it to be. I ordered an ice tea and it was more of a lukewarm tea. The beer they served was also not very cold and quite disappointing especially when it’s so hot and all you want is something ice cold.
5. The hotel entrance is a bit difficult to find, management can think of a better way to showcase the entrance/name of the hotel.
Overall I enjoyed the stay, it close enough to walk to Ubud Centre (about 15min walk) If you’re up to it. It’s beautiful, clean and a little peace of paradise.
Some services however need more attention to details.
CClaireWong18Overall service is really good and friendly, they even provide breakfast box if you are leaving the hotel for your itinerary before the breakfast starts (can request upon check in). Room view is amazing and clean, the only not so nice part is the beach. It is on reconstruction and there is a lot of seaweed so nothing to do if you want to go to the beach for a swim.

Rare in Bali! the rooms are extremely comfortable, with full amenities and extremely well maintained. Beautiful Balinese style with high end products, similar standards with any international Hotels. Amazing pool size middle of a beautiful landscape, just hard to believe you are at the heart of Kuta. Breakfast is one of the best around Kuta too. So much choice to accommodate large nationalities, from Balinese, Indian, asia, continental, international etc… The staff is just amazing, extremely friendly and efficient. Nothing is perfect in life and things can happened! just address it to the front office and in the next 5 minutes someone will fix your issues, including technical issues you could have in your room. Ayu at the front office is a gem! what an asset to the Ramayana. She is so efficient and professional. Same with Endra at the Gabbah restaurant - what an amazing waiter! kindness and so professional with perfect English skills…. just another amazing asset to the Ramayana. The Resort manager is new and what a difference since he joined the Ramayana - he is everywhere, extremely friendly and really manage the property extremely well. My only negative comment will be the pool water temperature - too cold , the water should be heated same as any 5 starts hotel . Many guests were saying the same things…. pool water temperature should be warmer. Nevertheless it is my favorite hotel in Kuta 15 minutes away from the Airport in front of Kuta Beach….
ผผู้เข้าพักWe have just completed a magical 10 days at Wyndham Jivva Beach. We are long term Wyndham members (owners) and have stayed at many of their hotels and resorts. Jivva Beach rates at the top of the list for us. It's just far North East of Denpasar to be out of the rat race but still within easy reach of Sanur and other tourist attractions. Apart from its idyllic setting, the staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. A special mention to the head chef Gusti who has a wealth of experience at 5 star international hotels. His leadership ensured a high level of cuisine at every meal. And Wijaya, the food and beverage manager led a team of wait staff which would be hard to beat anywhere. There are no shops close by, but we booked half day tours using local drivers at very reasonable prices (IDR 600,000 for 5 hours), so we were able to visit many local attractions. We also took the ferry to the island of Penida across the Badung Strait ~ well worth the time to do this. We were surprised that the beach (which is very close), is made of black sand ~ not a problem for us, but maybe for some. In essence, we love Wyndham Jivva and intend to visit again in 2024.

C'est vraiment isolé, au milieu des rizières. Le personnel est adorable, très serviable et sympathique. Ils sont toujours là pour vous et si vous avez une question ou demande, ils se démèneront pour y répondre de suite. La chambre est grande et très propre. Nous avons demandé une chambre en étage et nous l'avons eue. Le lit est ferme mais confortable. Les chambres ont tous une terrasse où vous pouvez manger, prendre le petit déjeuner ou simplement vous reposer. Le petit déjeuner inclus est très simple (choix entre omelette et pancakes, jus de fruit, et des fruits), mais suffisant. Vous pouvez payer un supplément pour avoir des choses en plus. Il n'y a pas de restaurant ni bar dans cette maison d'hôtes, donc il faudra soit aller dans l'hôtel pas très loin, soit commander votre nourriture sur Grab/Gojek. Nous avons opté pour cette deuxième option, et ça s'est très bien passé, un choix énorme, livraison en moins d'une heure si vous commandez sur un resto d'Ubud. Le personnel peut aussi prendre une commande et votre argent et aller faire 2/3 courses pour vous pour des boissons affichées sur le minibar. Tous les jours ils nous ont donné une bouteille d'eau chacun gratuite. La piscine est jolie et propre. La climatisation est très performante, parfois même trop! Il faut la régler. Parfois on finissait simplement par la couper. Vous n'aurez pas chaud. Maintenant, les points négatifs, car un bon avis doit aussi mentionner les points à améliorer: Lumière du jour qui passe très facilement, les rideaux ne sont pas très collés à la fenêtre donc dès 5h du matin on commençait à avoir de la lumière. C'est vrai que nous européens sommes habitués à dormir dans le noir. Dans la chambre il y avait aussi un bruit de canalisation, assez aigu, quand les gens utilisaient l'eau, que ça soit nous ou des voisins. Je ne sais pas à quoi cela est dû, peut-être une pompe, des canalisations... je ne sais pas si le problème est commun à toutes les chambres. Vu que je suis assez sensible aux bruits pour dormir, j'ai opté pour des boules Quiès, problème réglé. Comptez 3 à 5 euros l'aller pour vous déplacer en ville en commandant une course sur Grab/Gojek. Nous avons eu la réservation a un très bon prix car réservé tôt et avant la levée des restrictions sanitaires, donc on va dire que nous sommes très satisfaits de notre choix. J'espère qu'ils amélioreront les deux points cités plus haut car c'était les deux choses qui m'ont dérangé.
