My experience at this hotel was consistently let down by one waitress in the restaurant. When I politely asked whether a seat was taken, her response made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Every hotel operates differently, and I believe a staff member's role is to guide guests with patience rather than assume that the hotel's specific procedures are obvious to everyone.
Throughout my stay, whenever she served me, she did so with a clear lack of enthusiasm and a poor attitude. I mentioned this to the reception team, who shared they were already aware of concerns about her service. Unfortunately, I was unable to get her name, but she is a thin, middle-aged woman with bluish/grayish eyes and graying hair.
This feedback is directed only at this one individual and is not meant to reflect poorly on the rest of the staff. This is such a nice hotel, and it deserves a well-trained team. I hope management can provide her with additional training to help her meet the standards that the property deserves.
On the positive side, the hotel is really pretty and unique, with a great location and a varied, generous breakfast. I checked in on August 8th and arrived around 11 am; I was very grateful that my room was already ready — a truly kind gesture.
