SStephanie qtrWonderful hotel with clean and wide rooms. It is also quiet even though it is located in the center of Darwin city.
There are also amenities and restaurant inside the hotel. And the breakfast is really good with various choices. A supermarket opened till 10pm is also available 500m from the hotel . The reception is opened 24h a day.
This hotel is also very convenient for whomever is going on day tours (for instance to Kakadu or Croc cruise) as there is a pick up location around 200 meters from the hotel (Leea hotel).
We really had a wonderful 3 nights stay and really recommending this hotel!
Note : the airport is only 20 min from the hotel.
SS.Y.WThe hotel was under massive renovation. Couldn't get a good Waterview room due to that. The front desk staffs are very accommodative and helpful trying to offer other rooms and options. The swimming pool is the best and we really enjoyed it especially in the hot climates. The location is at the Esplanade, directly sea facing with a nice view and big park . Highly recommend!
CChoon\ FongGenerally, the hotel serve as a good location for day trips to out of Darwin. There are public parking lots outside the hotel which are free, as there are limited lots within the hotel's open air parking compound except the underground. There are limited amenities except a small pool. The room are very basic but the balcony added a good atmosphere for dining with a view.
KKen and Sharon QLDThe Mercure is the pick of the Darwin Airport hotels and they capitalize on their airport location by cranking up the price. Also our flight came into Darwin after midnight and the airport shuttle phone number they provided was unanswered so we endured the 9 minute walk from the airport with our cases. Checked in about 1:00 and requested a late check out. The hotel had plenty of availability but they still charged $60 for the privilege. Rooms are comfortable but looking a bit tatty now. Even so we had a nice , but short stay
ผผู้เข้าพักPoor communication with the shuttle service. They failed to communicate the shuttle service would be an unmarked car and did not provide the driver with my phone number. This resulted in a long wait at the airport around midnight, plus several phone calls.
The room we were given had hair in the bed and stained sheets. Thankfully, we were promptly given a new room, however, the person who gave me the new room key - passed the key to me and told me the room number and went to immediately leave. I had to ask him to show me the room and help move our bags. (I was travelling with my 8 year old child and by this time it was after 1am).
It was a very disappointing and frustrating experience.
