BoaBoa Bacalar

A beautiful place! We had a great time and wish we had an extra night! We stayed in the toucan room and I'm pretty sure it was one of the best views! There were quite a number of ants in the room but I was expecting bugs on our trip. The bed was comfortable but we did wake up to fighting cats outside the room (which could happen anywhere) and there was some lizard chirping around the outside at night but it was part of the ambiance. The breakfast was simple but delicious! There is no restaurant at this hotel so we had a little trouble finding dinner since we hadn't planned on leaving the hotel and waited until a little late- but guest services was incredible and helped walk us through getting some food delivered! The view of the lagoon was beautiful- the dock is great but it isn't super private so expect other people to be around. It wasn't crowded and we did meet some great friends. Definitely more a quiet retreat spot and we loved it. Some of the hotels on either side had jetskis which were a little obnoxious trying to kayak, but you can't control everyone! Overall really great experience and we would probably go back if the opportunity arises!

Everything was great except no signs so it took us a while to find the place. Jen was the best and breakfasts were great.

Wow is all I can say. The beauty of this place surpassed my expectations. First Osmar who was the receptionist that day helped us immensely with everything we needed for our comfort. Clara, also a very sweet and helpful lady spoke great English helped us book extra nights and answered every question we had. Please, if you want a massage on the private dock on the lake with Emilio, do it, you won’t regret it. I am a massage therapist and I knew the moment he started the massage that he was very skilled, professional and talented at his profession. The dock on the lake is like heaven on Earth and the breakfast that comes delivered to your room every morning was super delicious and healthy. Also try Taco Loco around the corner for the best tacos in town. Very serene and lovely place to stay in Bacalar. The staff was the cream on top and you could text them for anything you needed and they will bring it to you room. I miss it there already and wish we had stayed more nights. They will also call you a taxi anytime you need one to get to town.

The room was perfectly located with a great view of the lagoon. It had a balcony where I enjoyed breakfast and coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were super friendly, caring and flexible to requests. The docks next to the lagoon are magical places too.

Right at the lagoon and with a beautiful view. The staff was great! so kind and helpful even before my arrival. We loved the cabin and the cute breakfast basket. If wanting to go to the city center you (or the staff) can just call or text a taxi, it’s a 10 min drive.

Amazing!! MUST VISIT!! Unique hotel in Bacalar with his treehouses vibe! The service is perfect they are always there if there’s anything, they’ll make anything to make your stay perfect! Will clearly come back!!

It’s was one of the best stays I’ve had in Bacalar. The staff was very attentive and helped out with everything. We had some friends visit us and they offered us a dire pit for the evening. We had an amazing experience. And the view of the place wow! They are located next to the lagoon. We highly recommend the hotel to everyone!
