Visp Erblick H O T E L Ausserberg & Late Check-IN

It a cosy little hotel in a small Valais village. Good breakfast, room a bit dated, but clean. Village is cool but there is nothing to do at night, not even a place to eat. I wish the hotel offered a restsurant for diner as well, it would be a good idea there

This hotel is a scam. It still states on many websites (Like **********) that there is a restaurant. Which is not the case. We had to go to Brig for dinner (15 minutes by ... train). We arrive at 16:15. It states no reception which is true, but it does not state that the computer system does not send you the actual reservation number. So we were lucky the owner was around.... Similarly, the room on mountain side, is on the main street - very noisy and the room, albeit clean - had a carpet with a huge burnt stain. We could not figure out if breakfast was included so we abstained as the overall place is extremely pricey for the service and condition of the hotel.

What a beautiful location! We used the trains and buses so the hotel was very convenient. Someone was there to greet us upon arrival but there is a self check-in that is helpful when arriving at various times. Breakfast was available at an extra charge but can be eaten there or taken with you. The shower is in the room so with four people there was a little less privacy and space but beds were comfortable and it is very quiet. This was a great place for us to branch out from this little town daily on adventures.

I just don't know where to start with this hotel. My husband and our two 16 year old daughters were taking a quick trip around Switzerland using the rail system. After spending the day in Zermatt, due to train times and our planned actives, we did not have enough time to get back to Zurich that night. We decided to find something not too far from our route and continue on the next day. This hotel advertised that they speak four languages, have 24 hour checking with a clerk and we were able to pay through **********. These are all VERY FALSE! We got to the hotel around 10pm and could not figure out where to go. Finally found an open door and we see a table in the corner with a paper and room key sitting on it. We realize that it is our information and must be our key with room number just sitting in the hall for anyone to grab. Not really the 24 hour clerk check in we were expecting. But continued to our room for the night. There was NO AC in room so had to leave window open all night. There was no screen and even with the window open it was too hot to sleep. The next morning, when we are getting ready to walk out, the owner stops us and asks us to pay. He only spoke Dutch and we had a very difficult time communicating. But what we discovered was that he said we had not paid for the room and would not let us leave until we gave him another card. Called ********** and they tired to speak with him and could not. Die Unterkunft ist für ein Übernachten in Ordnung. Die Temperatur im Zimmer war nicht genügend (Reisezeit: 25.11.). Die Umgebung der Anlage wirk ziemlich triste. Das Brot zum Frühstück war sicher von Vorgestern. Der Kaffeeautomat liefert höchstens lauwarmes Wasser für einenTee.

Kein personal vorgefunden! Hotel Restaurant geschlossen! Mussten daher wider abreisen!

Nous n'avons vu personne mais très bonne literie, chambre très propre.

Même si on est (presque) en plaine, cet hôtel a tout du nid montagnard. Tout est boisé et l'accueil est autant rustique que sympathique. Petit déjeuner copieux, chambre agréable avec balcon et télé disponible. Attention restaurant de l'hôtel fermé les lundis et mardis donc il faut descendre pour manger. Gare et bus à quelques mètres. Ausserberg semble être un très joli hameau également.
