Stayed at the Premier Inn in Andover at the beginning of the month, and wasn't too overly impressed with the place. Premier Inn's business model with all these 'extras' is one thing, but when it comes down to customer service it shouldn't be used to make a quick buck. Take check-in for example: while there is an 'option' to check in early, (at a cost), I can half understand it when someone racks up at 8 a.m. or so demanding to check in, when someone arrives just before 2 and demanding 10 pounds, knowing full well the room is ready and the Guest has travelled a long way, is ridulous. ZERO DISCRETION, ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. The room itself was fairly quiet, the bathroom clean and the shower hot. I'm not sure why Premier Inn persist in using Beds that are so high, that you might need a stepladder to get into them! I had one breakfast during my stay, and Its something I wouldnt pay for again. While the coffee was quite decent, the hot breakfast wasnt and with that no sausages! The place was also a pigsty, dirty plates all over the tables and not washed down. If I ever stay in Andover again, it most definitely won't be here. But. as they say, you live and learn.
