Lakehouse at the Waterhead Inn

Nice place to stay while travelling in The Lake District. Very clean, warm and welcoming pub with a great fish and chips!

帶家人自駕湖區，選了很久才定的小鎮住宿。這家住宿在山坡上，可以看到湖區的風光。停車挺方便的，就是需要開上坡，需要注意的是前台入住是在坡下的餐廳裏，稍微有些不方便。 步行5分鐘就可以到達碼頭，乘船至温德米爾湖，推薦

Friendly staff, lovely decor, tasty breakfast. However flies in bathroom (dead and alive) and a few cobwebs and dust in room. Nothing terrible but felt it could have been a bit cleaner for price.

the staff at the hotel were friendly, helpful and polite over our entire stay the breakfasts were very good as were the evening meals always arrived quite quickly and lovely and hot - our room was comfortable and warm - was a wonderful xmas break and we would definitely stay again - thank you!!

What a nice place! Note that this hotel is not directly on the water but just up the hill from the lake. The property was beautiful, the staff very friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable and the food excellent. Note that the check in is in the restaurant at the bottom of the hill and across the street. I would definitely stay at this property if in the area again.

I gave 5 stars, but not for the Lakehouse at the Waterhead Inn. We arrived there to find no way to get in and waited for 15 minutes in torrential rain wondering what to do. We then walked down the hill to the Waterhead Inn itself to find that the Lakehouse was not actually open, despite being offered on ******* and despite booking it! We were however very pleased to be offered a room at the Waterhead Inn instead, and at the same price of £109. The Waterhead Inn is excellent, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are brand new and impeccable, and the breakfast, which was included in the price, was superb and worth half the price of the room alone. The Waterhead Inn is far better than some hotels costing significantly more.

Basically a nice hotel. A few things could be improved: There is no storage space for things in the bathroom. Lack of hooks or bars to hang bathroom towels. The save was not functional. The room made a newly renovated impression, but unfortunately with the above missing details.
