Brilliant Holiday. Thank you to all the staff at DDBC for a lovely holiday. Staff are very professional and friendly, in particular Miguel on the buggy and Anna and Dory at the kids clubs. My two boys loved going to the kids club every morning. Accommodation was very clean. I look forward to coming back.

For anybody who cares even remotely about Nature you should be aware that Dunas Douradas resort is ACTIVELY derstroying a protected nature reserve next to their resort and then lying about it when asked. If you care about the environment at all DO NOT STAY HERE.

Dunas Douradas Beach Club is a first-class establishment in a great beachside location, with excellent staff and a pleasant, laid-back ambience despite the luxurious five-star surroundings. A very well-appointed, tastefully decorated apar**ent, with a large balcony - complete with a Weber BBQ - overlooking attractive gardens and the sea. Comfortable beds and well-lit bathrooms, with good shower pressure. We did not use the home entertainment systems much, but there seemed to be every TV channel imaginable in multiple languages, and guest-access Netflix. I am actually a little reluctant to write this review, as we were guests at Dunas Douradas, courtesy of a friend who very kindly invited us to stay in a property that he owns (paying only for cleaning), so our comments must also be seen in this light. Nevertheless, feedback - even from "non-paying guests" like us - can sometimes be helpful, so here goes. My primary takeaway is that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, not least because all of the DDBC staff were quite excellent. Friendly, helpful, relaxed. They left a very positive impression on us, from the cleaners to the reception staff to the swimming pool attendants (who were most accommodating in arranging for us to use the sauna). Even in a ***** luxury establishment such as this, one is always dependent on the smooth interaction between staff and clients at all times, and the personnel here were a real credit to the brand. 10/10! The apar**ent itself was large, elegant, and very well-equipped, albeit the lack of any personal effects (it is not "lived in", so it had none of the usual things you might find in a typical holiday rental - books, games, foodstuffs basics like salt and pepper, olive oil, or coffee filters in a kitchen cupboard, etc) might make it feel a bit impersonal and hotel-like to some people. Maybe this is just us. In fact it probably IS just us, as the apar**ent's kitchen delivered a couple of amusing surprises during our stay. By any standards, the kitchen is fabulously well-equipped for cooking. It is a chef's dream. It has EVERYTHING, including high-end Bosch oven, Bora induction hob, citrus presser, the whole nine yards. And yet I suspect nobody has ever cooked there before us. I made a large piece of salmon in the oven, but when I went to find oven gloves, in order to take the burning-hot dish from the oven, there were none. Everything else under the sun, but no oven gloves. Had nobody EVER used the oven? Then I used one of the two excellent Teflon-coated frying pans, but could not find any non-metal spatula. There were at least two steel spatulas, but these will happily destroy a Teflon frying pan. Had nobody EVER fried anything in the apar**ent? It is, of course, possible that they have not, but have eaten out every single day, or ordered Uber Eats. Even so, it might be worth adding these two simple and inexpensive items to the housekeeping list, just in case a future client does want to "self-cater" in what i

Beautiful resort next to an amazing beach. Accommodation first class. Only criticism……. It’s more of a residential settlement rather than a resort. Which is not clear from the web site. Only one restaurant on the site with another in east walking distance but both quite expensive. A short walk along the beach, however leads to a small collection of local bars/ restaurants, where good food and drink is often accompanied by live music. A better equipped supermarket would be a huge improvement.

This was our second visit to Dunas Douradas (also one booked for October), we had a wonderful relaxing time with our 3 year old first time, so second time round, we brought the family members! We stayed here for 10 nights (Partial Sea Luxury 3 bedroom 1st floor apar**ent). The apar**ent was truly outstanding and modern with all amenities. Just to compare our first apar**ent, there was actually no comparison! It has everything you need! The only extra is we had a heated jacuzzi outside, which was a plus. From landing at Faro airport, we were picked up by the friendly hotel chauffeur service which took us from A-B and helped us with our luggage. It was super late at night and with a very sleepy toddler, it certainly helped us setrle in very quickly. Our little one gets very nervous of new surroundings, but he loved it! The apar**ents are spacious, modern and clean and well air conditioned (separate air conditioner for each room). The grounds are maintained well with someone doing the maintenance everyday. Very private apar**ent and easy access to the pools (including a heated indoor one for the little one as it can get cold), and clean beach with nearby restaurant. Our terrace with breathtaking sea views, good quality outdoor furniture, bbq, sink and jacuzzi. On-site, the staff are also very friendly. The cleaners are polite, the receptionists are helpful and the restaurant (Saudade) and pool staff are always here to help you. There is also a mini market near the reception with fresh bakery, and because supermarkets are further away, it is good to have for those emergencies, such as when your little one just don’t want to go outside to eat. We hired a car for the time here, and it certainly was useful to have. Especially, travelling to the nearby supermarkets as we loved cooking and also to try local cuisine also. There is so much to say, but overall everyone had a fantastic stay here! Definitely recommend for those with young kids!

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights which was the first trip abroad child free for 4 years so we went all out! We arrived at the gated front at 7.30pm, through to reception, all checked in quickly and into our garden view apar**ent. A lovely view of the sea from our balcony and inside very spacious with a large bedroom, en-suite, separate toilet and shower, lounge and large kitchen. The reception arranged for a taxi to pick us up from just outside the apar**ent to Villamoura. Next day I walked down to the shop on site, a good selection of cereals etc and warm pastries and take away coffee. Following breakfast we ventured down towards the pool area, had a lovely coffee in the sun and then walked down to the amazing beach which was absolutely beautiful. We had booked a couple of beach bars nearby for the day (Izzy’s and Julia’s) Final morning we headed for a walk on the beach again, packed up and headed for check out where the lady at guest relations was there who requested feedback. The trip was like a second honeymoon, 10/10 throughout and if we are able to secure a baby sitter again next year we will 100% be going back as I can’t recommend enough!

Dunas Douradas is a stunningly situated and pristinely-maintained resort nestled between Quinta and Val do Lobo. We have stayed several times and loved each visit. The service is excellent, with friendly and super helpful team members. The properties are beautifully appointed and fitted with nearly everything you could possibly require. The beautiful terraces are a great place to relax, have a hot tub or make use of the excellent outdoor kitchen. This time we stayed in J23, a newly refurbished property, which was simply gorgeous. A daily cleaning service is provided, with sheets changed twice weekly. The bed/linen quality is absolutely amazing. The resort has several pools including an indoor heated pool. The on-site restaurant/bar is excellent - we just had lunch here and also ordered dinner up one night. Maria's restaurant is a stones throw away out the back gate and also an excellent option for lunch. Quinta Shopping Centre is less than a ten minute drive as well as a variety of gorgeous restaurants. We rented a car and used Uber for dinner transfers (a total steal!). Our daughter is older, but the resort is excellent for children - including a children's pool and playground. We cannot wait to return.

We haven’t stayed here before …. But I would choose this place over any in the vicinity … it is incredible !!! The apar**ent was so spacious , modern .. with a hot tub .. it opened out onto beautiful grounds which are immaculately kept .. a short 2 min stroll to the pool and beach . Right out of the gate onto the beach is Maria’s restaurant which we love so that was fab and a few minutes walk along the beach the other way are Julia’s and Issys … just a perfect location. The pools are spotless … new sun beds and cabanas were delivered whilst we were there .. a special shout out to Augusto Silva the pool man who was incredible. The staff .. all of them bar none were the most friendly and professional I have come across … the bar guys make a mean cocktail ! I cannot recommend highly enough … 5 ⭐️ all the way … If I had to be v v critical id like the pools to be slightly heated this time of the year . Cannot wait to return … !!!
