Eden Resort

Returned to Eden resort for the 5th time in April / May. At time of booking I contacted resort to see if possible we could be in villas we had previously been in and again they managed to accommodate us with this request, thank u so much for this ❤️. Anyone that's thinking of visiting this resort just book your holiday u won't be disappointed, amazing staff and service at all times. Cant wait to visit again for number 6. Just one slight issue I have since losing the Apple bar upstairs there is no adult bar where u can sit and chat or watch the football as the TV is now in the kids entertainment room. An adult bar to be able to do this would make this so much better for older families and couples. But please don't let this put u off this wonderful resort.

The layout of the resort is unusual. Apartment/villas are laid out around a large area, which can be driven around and there is loads of free parking outside each accommodation type. The reception area has a bar and restaurant included within it, which is a separate building to accommodation. The buildings are all painted in various pastel type colours making a very pretty resort. If you had one of the apartments at the far end of the resort, it’s still less than 10 mins walk to reception/restaurant/bar. We had an apartment with 2 double bedrooms and there was also a double sofa bed in the lounge, though we didn’t use that. The apartment was very spacious, clean and modern. It was cleaned daily, beds made daily and towels changed daily if needed. In the kitchen there was a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, lots of cutlery, knives etc. A nice touch would’ve been some washing up liquid. We didn’t make much use of the kitchen other than making some drinks as we were all inclusive. There was an en-suite bathroom and a separate main bathroom. However, there was only 1 hairdryer, which not ideally was in the main bathroom. So if there were 6 of you getting ready and several of you need a hairdryer, there could be a wait while you wait for people to finish in the bathroom. There was lots of hanging space in the main bedroom, only half the amount in the second bedroom as one half of the wardrobe was locked (possibly used for storage). There was no chest of drawers or dressing table in either bedroom, so there was no real surface space to put anything down on in the bedrooms. There were bedside tables, but they were small and low (basically one drawer with no legs). A silly point, but I really missed not having something to put things down on easily! Beds were comfortable. The main bedroom and lounge opened onto a patio area with a sun loungers and table and chairs. We went in March which was out of season. The all inclusive did get busy at times. I can’t imagine how it would cope in full season when at full capacity. Although we always found something to eat and never went hungry, I think that with such a well equipped kitchen in the apartment, if I went back to the resort, I’d go self catering. You certainly won’t be missing much with the all inclusive drinks. They were ok, but the cocktails were disappointing. The pool area looked nice, but we never used it as it wasn’t really hot enough when we were there. The pool bar was also closed when we were there. All the staff we came across were friendly and happy to help. Luckily we’d booked a hire car for the duration of our stay, which was we picked up in Albufeira. It’s only about €4 for their equivalent of an Uber into Albufeira. It would be quite a bit of a walk all along very busy roads, so could be a walked, but not the nicest walk and very busy roads. The resort is a bit outside of the main part of Albufeira, so if we hadn’t had a car, we’d have had to use

Wonderful Resort we have visited 4 times and gets better each year. Perfect for families with young children, the villas are very clean and spacious, food always beautiful and the snack bar is handy for the kids. The pools are perfect for our family and the kids area/pools keep our children busy. The staff make this place amazing, Victoria in Reservations always a pleasure to deal with when booking, the reception staff always so friendly, the restaurant/bar staff always so busy and work very hard and nothing is ever a problem and a big thank you to Vanessa and Cintia in the Entertainment/Kids club they make Eden a real fun place and our children adore them not forgetting Eddie the Turtle. We travelled with a 3 and 5 year old and they loved it. The resort was excellent for kids. The pool was fantastic, the food in the restaurant was lovely and the night time entertainment for kids was great. The staff were so friendly and nice. I would highly recommend this resort and will be revisiting.

Slow service to rectify issues with room. WiFi issues all week, poor air conditioning and hard beds. That said, nice location and pleasant staff. Evening entertainment was dire ! If it had been a cheap family holiday, it would have been ok, but we paid a considerable amount and we just thought it was quite worth it.

Fantastic stay with 4 kids, kids loved the entertainment staff, all staff were friendly, plenty of food drinks, clean and within reach of good days out

We stayed at the Eden resort for 10 days. The apartment we stayed in was very clean and spacious. The staff are very friendly. My daughter loved the waterslides & swimming pool and was never out of them😂 the entertainment team are amazing!! Only criticism I have is the kids disco is only on for 45 minutes 7-7.45 wish it was abit longer. The area where the entertainment is, is small and not much seating area so we had to stand a few times. People were going in the bar as couldn’t get a seat for the entertainment but then you can’t see it. The food was delicious and had various options for dinner and tea! We went to the a la carte and I’d rate that 10/10 probably one of the best steaks we have had! Overall we had an amazing stay and will definitely be returning in the near future x

Eden Resort. This is a tough one. I feel quite guilty scoring three out of five and have taken a week to take in my experiences at the resort to ensure I was comfortable in doing so - I am. And here is the why. Overall I think the resort is a really fantastic place to stay. The accommodation is excellent, the pool areas and bars are good - the people in them are fantastic. They really do make you feel welcome. I would take the accommodation and the colleagues in the bars over any all inc I have ever been to - well done for that. The al la carte restaurant that we used on our final night was fantastic - service was superb and the food, whilst limited in choice, was of a brilliant standard - I thoroughly enjoyed my time in there - it's a gem. So why a three star review I hear you all shout. Well, three reasons. 1. On arriving at the hotel after a 3:45 start in the morning we were told our accommodation was not ready (we were three hours earlier than check in). We were welcomed, banded up for all inclusive, and told to make use of the facilities - Fantastic! We went back around 1500 hours with now tired out children, to see if there was any news on the room - there was! Fantastic! We were then told that our accommodation would not be ready until 17:30 - not fantastic!! I tried to reason with the reception colleagues but to no avail. I was very frustrated. I then contacted Jet 2 and miraculously we were in our accommodation within the hour. It was not lost on me that every other guest had been housed before us and all were taken to their accommodation on a golf trolley - and we were not offered this facility. I would argue that when I was informed the accommodation was ready and went to the desk to collect my keys the reception was frosty to say the least. 2. One evening whilst in the Buffet restaurant (it's a decent standard but nothing brilliant e.g. putting a pizza on a plate is NOT show cooking) we had an incident where a waiter (new starter) brought three drinks to our table and on taking the first drink off his tray managed to lose control of the tray dispensing the two remaining glasses of alcohol all over my children, their food and the floor. They were drenched, and shocked. The waiter barely apologised and walked off never to be seen at the table again. Another waiter came over and started cleaning up the mess single handedly. One person trying to clean the table, ignorant of the pooling of the residual wine on the floor and again no real attempt at acknowledging that there was a problem (This guy was actually fantastic and really did try his best for us but it was all too little). Whilst I assured the waiter that accidents happen and that I held no angst towards him or is colleague I noticed three waiters clearing another table. Three of them. Just clearing. I warned yet another dad carrying a baby of the slip hazard on the floor and went and asked the three waiters to come and assist their colleague and m
