Amazing location, hotel, pool and restaurant…close enough to everything even without a car as taxis were no problem - 10/10 recommended - would just say breakfast could have a little more to offer!

When we arrived there was no electricity. We were told that this would be remedied within fifteen minutes. In the end it took 3 hours. (My husband spent 1.5 hours in the car working with a hotspot and the engine on.) However, not much apologies were made, ‘it was just the way it was’, ‘it was the whole environment, you couldn't help it’. And I of course you couldn't help it, except that you could handle it differently. My advice for next time this happens, email the people who have booked a hotel room about this, be honest to say that you don't know how long it will take and therefore give the option to cancel. Say that you're sorry, even even if you can't help it. And give some compensation. The food was okay, the girl in the restaurant who served us super nice, the location, the hotel room, all looked beautiful. When we went to sleep the music was still very loud, very audible in our hotel room. Really annoying. When I asked if it could be turned down, the response was 'No, that was normal here’. When the music was still at the same volume at midnight and I went to the reception for the second time, really angry by now, there was finally a willingness to turn the music down. I think all the guests had left by now and the music was on for the staff themselves. I would think choose to be either a party location or a hotel, and don't mix that up. Or say that you are a hotel for party poppers. When we said we weren't happy about our stay, when we checked out, the young guy at the front desk had no response, except that he wouldn't charge us for our dog. In short, a bad experience, for a high price :(€158 for a room without breakfast), without sorry, without compensation for the inconvenience. My advice: train your staff in customer focus and teach them how to deal with customers who are not completely satisfied, before you give them responsible positions. And apparently our experience was an exception because I mainly see positive reviews.

But before we could start with the fun part my husband had a deadline for work. He spent 1.5 hours in the car working with a hotspot and the engine on, because we arrived with an empty computer. Very nice hotel in a beautiful setting. Lovely, comfortable outdoor spaces. Great, friendly service all around. Two wonderful dinners at the restaurant. Quick drive or taxi into Aix. We loved our stay at Domaine Gaogaia!

Beautiful hotel just south of Aix. Easy to park. Friendly and helpful reception staff. The double room was nice but really quite small. Authentic tile floor means you hear footsteps late at night and early morning. Breakfast was simple. Overall good place. (Restaurant reviews separately)

It was fun and funky. Nice design. Young crowd.

This is a haven in the middle of the Provençal countryside with a beautiful garden which is ideal for relaxing, enjoying a cocktail and then having dinner in the excellent restaurant. We stayed for a week as a family with young children and enjoyed relaxing days around the pool but it is also close to Aix en Provence if you want to venture further afield. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. The downside with the family room though is the steepness of the steps which I thought were quite dangerous for younger children. Overall we had a lovely stay though and would definitely like to return.

We had a wonderful 3 day, 2 night stay in this beautiful hotel just outside Aix-en-Provence. We are a family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers, and we had 2 rooms here. The staff was incredibly attentive to every need, especially Lilou at the front desk. She helped find a great restaurant for the first night, and a world-class cheese shop for our day walking around Aix. She let me try my French but easily transitioned to English when needed. Rooms were clean, large enough, and comfortable. They found an extra mattress for our third kid. Bathrooms were luxurious. The restaurant is out of this world. Really unique flavor combinations and the freshest ingredients. Menu changes every day depending on what is available in the market that morning. It is a short drive from Aix proper but Lilou will direct you to cheap, easy-to-use parking. I cannot say enough about our stay. Great trip and we will hopefully be back.
