ครั้งสุดท้ายที่ฉันพักใน Youth Hostel คือตอนที่ฉันเรียนมหาวิทยาลัย เนื่องจากฉันไม่ค่อยได้เดินทางหลังเลิกงาน จึงไม่มีโอกาสได้พักใน Youth Hostel มากนัก ผ่านไปหลายปีอย่างไม่คาดคิด YHA ซึ่งเปิดทั่วประเทศก็แทบจะหาไม่เจอแล้วเนื่องจากนี่เป็นครั้งแรกที่ฉันมาฉางซาและฉันแค่เดินเล่นคนเดียวฉันจึงสั่งกระเป๋าเป้มาสิบปีกับ ความคิดในการลองดู อาศัยอยู่ที่นั่น รู้สึกดีมาก ประสบการณ์เรียกได้ว่าคุ้มค่ากับเงินที่เสียไปมาก 1. ทำเลที่ตั้งอยู่ใจกลางเมืองฉางซา ใกล้กับสถานีรถไฟใต้ดิน ไปไหนมาไหนสะดวกมาก และเงียบสงบในความพลุกพล่าน 2.สิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกและสุขอนามัยในห้องพักดีมาก เตียงกว้าง ล็อคเกอร์ล็อคเกอร์สภาพดีและแอร์ในห้องก็ดีมากเช่นกัน 3. อุปกรณ์อาบน้ำอยู่ในสภาพดีและมีจำนวนมากไม่ต้องรออาบน้ำ ห้องน้ำก็สะอาดมากเช่นกัน 4. พื้นที่ส่วนกลางกว้างขวาง มีไวน์ และกาแฟ เหมาะแก่การพบปะเพื่อนฝูงมาก แต่รู้สึกว่าบรรยากาศในที่สาธารณะตอนนี้ไม่ค่อยดีเหมือนปีก่อนๆ จริงๆ บางทีอาจจะมีอุปสรรคที่มองไม่เห็นระหว่างคนอยู่บ้าง สรุปโดยรวมเรียกได้ว่าน่าทึ่งมากหากอนาคตจะเดินทางคนเดียวและไม่รีบร้อนก็พิจารณาเลือก Youth Hostel คุณภาพสูงอย่าง Backpacking Ten Years เช่นกัน ความจริงแล้ว ความสำคัญของ Youth Hostel ไม่ใช่แค่ราคาถูกเท่านั้น แต่ยังรวมถึงการที่คุณจะได้พบปะเพื่อนฝูงในพื้นที่สาธารณะและได้เห็นวิถีชีวิตที่แตกต่างกันของผู้คนมากมายในระหว่างการเดินทาง ซึ่งมีคุณค่ามากจริงๆ

Location is hard to find because it’s not the right address but as you approach the road go up the first stairs you see then signs will appear. The room was big, the bed was good and comfortable, but the bathroom was terrible. Old and dirty. The room itself was good and seemed clean enough. Host was really nice. Good for one night or two to save money but wouldn’t stay longer. Location is great!

The hostel was great. The bed was comfortable in a 4 female only dorm. I was able to use the washing machine on the roof, the shower had shampoo and showed gel, toilet paper, normal toilet, not squat, AC, and the guy at the reception desk was very kind. He speaks enough English and if you need to ask something specific just use Google translate. Amazing location, very close to the center and super cheap. Lots of mosquitoes though so use bug spray to sleep.

ข้อดี: 1. ทัศนคติ: เจ้าของบ้านมีทัศนคติที่ดีมาก 2. สภาพแวดล้อม: ตั้งอยู่ในพื้นที่ตั้งถิ่นฐานใหม่ บรรยากาศของชีวิตเข้มแข็งมาก และมีแผงขายของมากมายตามถนนในบริเวณใกล้เคียงในเวลากลางคืน 3. ระยะทาง: ประมาณสิบ เดินเพียงไม่กี่นาทีจากทางเข้ากระเช้าลอยฟ้าภูเขาเทียนเหมิน และใกล้กับสถานีขนส่ง ข้อเสีย: ห้องน้ำเป็นช่องกระจกฝ้ามองเห็นด้านในจากด้านนอกและมีความเป็นส่วนตัวไม่ดีแนะนำให้ติดม่านไว้ที่กระจก(เจ้านายสาวจัดให้ค่ะ) แยกห้องก็เลยไม่มีปัญหานี้)

I stayed there one night and it was good. Located in a little alley right up the river, which is nice; and the lady is adorable. She gave me tea when I arrived, and even offered breakfast for the morning. The bathroom is very basic and small, but otherwise the bed was comfortable, and there's even AC. Overall, great experience, and worth it as it is much cheaper than the popular hotels along the river :)

การบริการของเจ้านายดีมากและประสบการณ์การเช็คอินดีมาก มีห้องสุขาและห้องน้ําแยก 2 ห้อง อ่างล้างหน้าอยู่ด้านนอก มีตู้สําหรับวางของของคุณเอง แผนกต้อนรับยังมีน้ําประปาและถ้วยแบบใช้แล้วทิ้ง ชั้นบนมีพื้นที่นั่งเล่น มีโต๊ะบิลเลียดชั้นล่าง อยู่ใกล้กับเสี่ยวตงเจียงมาก ตื่นแต่เช้าไปดูเสี่ยวตงเจียงที่มีหมอกหนา กัดแป้ง ทะเลสาบหยางเทียนอยู่ไกล ทิวทัศน์สวยงามมาก และรังสีอัลตราไวโอเลตแข็งแกร่งมาก!

Stayed here for 2 nights and it was a really good stay. The owner speaks English and is very nice, he likes to talk with his guests. Rooms are good and clean. Location is 10 min walking from the railway station and the metro line so it’s very convenient. Would recommend it !

[Parks info below] I'm glad that I checked out this hostel, good value for money. Room was nice and tidy, lots of electricity sources in bed and common area, curtains, hot shower. I shared the 6 beds dorm with just another girl, and you make your own bed. No toilet paper, no free water refill, no light in bed. It's worth the price. If you extend your stay directly in the hostel it's cheaper than the app. The reception area is more cramped but you can socialize there. Most of the people are Chinese but I also met some foreigners. The guy in the reception speaks English and can give you information, in addition to that I recommend you to do your own research. There are two baby cats playing around, and an adult one. You can get to the hostel from the west railway station by bus line 17 for 2 yuan - last bus at 8:40pm + 15 minutes walk. Location is close to the main avenue where there's a lot of restaurants, and a 24-hour convenience store close to the corner with this same avenue. There are two night markets in the city, one on the avenue like 10 min distance walking to downtown direction, more local, and another one on the street in front of the tianmen mountain cable car, more touristy. The hostel is 15 minutes walking to the central bus station where you can get the bus to zhangjiajie park and 15-20 to the tianmen mountain cable car station. [ATTRACTIONS] Zhangjiajie (avatar), tianmen (heaven's gate) and canyon (glass bridge) are 3 different parks in different locations. The entrance to zhangjiajie gives you access for 4 days. I went the 4 days and enjoyed it very properly. If you're short on time, 2 days will do, but plan it wisely based on your priorities. Gates are 1 hour trip distance from the central bus station - 1h30 at weekends. Also, note that before entering the park with passport and face scan, you need to do an APPOINTMENT for that hour. You usually do it there at the gate, but for a saturday all appointments for that hour were sold out in advance and I had to wait for 45 minutes to go in. Recommended to check in advance especially on weekends. There are 2 types of tickets you can get: including all cable cars and elevator for unlimited time for 450 yuan; or just the entrance (including only free shuttles) for 215 yuan - you still have the option of buying each transport at the park (75 yuan cablecar one-way, 65 elevator one-way). At first, I had understood that to see the avatar mountains, the ONLY way was through the elevator, so I bought the all-inclusive. Turns out you CAN go by free shuttle + hike + free shuttle if you start in the east gate. My favorite part was the huangshi village. For tianmen, the entrance is 260 yuan. Choose the route in advance because some sell out fast. Gold advice: go at least one hour or more BEFORE the hour that you have the tickets for. The hour of your ticket just matters before the very last point before boarding the cable car. The line was MASSIVE and it took me 2h30 waiting on a Monday - ended up getting in 2 hours late than my ticket time and couldn't finish the whole loop: took only the red trail and went down to the heaven's gate. About the Canyon, I can't say much because I decided to skip it and save the 210 yuan ticket - note that this price DOESN'T include the activities, you must pay separately. The package that includes almost* everything is 360 yuan. Last but not least, if you go to the 72 Wonders, there's also an entrance of 88 yuan. You can go/come back with the bus 17 - same line that serves to the west railway station, last bus 8:40pm.
