The accommodation was pleasant, clean, and comfortable throughout our stay. Our main guide, Li Ziyang, was consistently kind, attentive, and helpful. Despite the language barrier, communication was effective due to his patience and our mutual effort. His support significantly improved the overall experience, and we felt well taken care of during the stay.

The hotel has an excellent location — it’s close to the beach, tourist infrastructure, and places for walking, but at the same time not in the very center, so the hotel grounds are quiet and peaceful. The room itself is a spacious apartment with a large living room-kitchen, two separate bedrooms, and two bathrooms (each with a shower and toilet). It was very convenient to have two showers in the room (actually, there are two showers and one bathtub, but we didn’t use the tub). Because of the hot tropical climate (it stays warm even at night) and the salty sea, everyone wants to take a shower one or two times a day. Having two showers meant no one had to wait. Hot water was provided by boilers with a sufficient reserve, so we never had to save water or wait for it to heat up. It was also very convenient to have a personal washing machine and a place to dry clothes in the room, since in this climate you need to wash things more often. All doorways have screened doors with latches, which allow constant ventilation without letting mosquitoes in. There is also a built-in air conditioning system, but we preferred to ventilate with fresh air. The beds in the rooms are comfortable and of good quality. There is plenty of storage space for clothes, as well as bedside tables. There are enough surfaces in the room where you can set up a laptop and work if needed. The room has universal sockets that work with both Chinese plugs and European plugs, and the Wi-Fi, as far as I could tell, provides access to the global internet without a VPN. The kitchen has a large refrigerator — very convenient for storing fruits, coconuts, and food, especially when planning a long day trip to attractions the next day. There is also a gas stove in case you want to cook something familiar. Although the local cuisine is very tasty, sometimes you crave more familiar food. The kitchen has a large table and the basic necessary dishes and utensils. The hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped and make for a pleasant short walk if you wake up earlier than the others. I would especially like to thank the staff. In particular, a very attentive and responsive woman. There were no issues at all with late check-in. She was always very kind and friendly, always available, and ready to help with any questions.

I recently stayed here as a Belgian Chinese traveler, and even though my Chinese isn’t very strong, I was welcomed with so much warmth. This hostel is a true hidden gem, tucked away from the typical tourist trails in a quiet part of the village. It’s the perfect location: right by the fields and some very trendy coffee shops, yet only a 5-minute scooter ride from the main bay and the best surf spots. The owners, Shuiku (水库) and Xiaoxiao (笑笑), really made my trip. Shuiku immediately helped me sort out a scooter and personally showed me where to find the best waves, while Xiaoxiao’s English is quite good, which made everything so much easier. They also pointed me toward some local restaurants that were all absolutely delicious. The vibe of the place is just great. It’s incredibly clean because the cleaning lady and Shuiku himself clean the place several times a day. I loved the design of the indoor chill-out area, though sitting outside to enjoy the tropical weather was just as good. There’s a washing machine which is super handy, and you can rent surfboards for a very fair, cheap price. Because the owners' friends drop by almost daily, there’s always a lively, authentic atmosphere. I met a great mix of foreign tourists and Chinese solo travelers trekking around the island by bike or motorcycle. Many Chinese couples and families where staying too, it is very kid-friendly too. I even ended up meeting a French girl there, and we spent a whole week surfing together. Pros: Residential complex grounds, proximity to the sea, non-smoking room, the ADMINISTRATOR. Cons: ”Tired” apartment, needs deep cleaning (including upholstery), no sheer curtains, thin walls (you can hear everything). The Review: The apartments are located in an excellent modern residential complex with its own gated, well-kept territory (key card access, friendly security). There are plenty of activities for kids, a pool, ping-pong and billiard tables, and a gym (though I’m not sure if it’s open to everyone). There seem to be many apartment options, but ours didn't have the best view — we faced the opposite building. There were no sheer curtains (only heavy drapes), which was annoying as we ended up staring right at the neighbors. At first glance, the place looks picture-perfect, but you quickly realize it’s ”tired” and needs a renovation. It desperately needs a deep clean — if you lie on the sofa, you'll end up smelling like it (not very pleasant). On the plus side, there was absolutely no cigarette smell in the entire building. The Wi-Fi is weak, and for some reason, mobile data is terrible unless you go out on the balcony. Soundproofing is non-existent. If you stick to a ”12 AM bed, 7 AM wake-up” schedule, you’ll be fine (it’s perfectly quiet then), but otherwise, it’s hard to sleep. Plus, there is significant noise from planes and helicopters. I want to give a special thanks to the Administrator. We arrived late at night and got lost; he came out to find us and helped with our bags. He responded to all our questions instantly and was incredibly helpful. He made us feel comfortable, like in a hotel. Without him, our experience would have been much worse. It's a good choice for a short stay — shops, restaurants, and a market are all nearby. The sea is just a 3-minute walk away; you can head there straight in your swimsuit. The beach is great, not crowded, and there are no ”fenced-off” areas.
