For the price the place is okay decent enough however the staff is really loud at night . Not the reception but the team doing maintenance at night they really inconsiderate . I wouldn’t book the Melrose ever again because of that . I’ve tried the one in Sandton Katherine street I really enjoyed it .

The hotel is great for a layover as it is super close to the airport. They have a shuttle which was a great help for me. I really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner as I missed SA food. Most of the staff was really helpful (especially Lily from the kitchen) she went above and beyond to help me cause I was with a baby. She made sure I was comfortable, had my food while she was holding my baby. I really appreciate that, thank you 🙏 . I also observed her around other customers she kept the same energy. My room was cleaned daily which was nice. My suggestion is some stuff member must give the same service to everyone regardless of who they are and how they look.

Delicious & varied breakfast with freshly ground coffee. The room is clean and tidy, but small space.Anyway, ultimate experience in a short period accommodation.

A good hotel located in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg. The rooms are small, but have everything you need. The breakfast is excellent, I can recommend it. Closed internal territory, everything is clean. A large shopping center is located 7-10 minutes walk away. From Johannesburg International Airport, about half an hour by taxi.

Lovely Place. About 20 minutes or less away from the city centre. The stuff was friendly and very helpful. The room was tired and clean. Little noise from the outside because of the highway. But not a bother at all. Definitely coming back the next time I visit South Africa. Side note. If you are travelling from abroad you might want to have an extension cord or adapter to fit the sockets for your devices. As the ones in South Africa are different from most parts of the world.

The hotel smelled so good right from the entrance. The staff were very professional, kind and helpful. The shuttle driver David was extremely kind. He walked me to Nelson Mandela square and showed me also how to get back to the pick up area. He addressed me as “madam”. The check in was easy peasey. The young lady at check in was so helpful and kind. The concierge was beyond helpful too. The young man I forgot his name was so welcoming. Showed me how the elevator works. The restaurant staff especially the guys in the kitchen who cooked my eggs were very understanding and kind. Everyone I met at the hotel left a lasting impression on me. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, just a short distance from the airport, making it perfect for a quick stopover or if you’re catching a flight. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, always ready to assist with anything we needed. The pool area was a highlight,beautifully maintained with a relaxing atmosphere, ideal for unwinding after a long day of travel. And the food? Absolutely amazing! From breakfast to dinner, every meal was delicious, with a great variety of options. Overall, it’s a perfect spot for both business travelers and those just passing through Johannesburg. Highly recommend!
