And when you’ve benchmarked yourself against places like Tokyo hotels, that gap isn’t subtle—it’s philosophical. --- Service: willing, but not weaponized The staff aren’t careless—they’re unequipped. You feel it immediately: No anticipation No rhythm Just reaction under pressure It’s not bad service. It’s incomplete service. And in luxury, “almost” is failure. --- Weekend reality check Then comes the weekend—the great revealer. The hotel stretches beyond its elegance: Parking spills into the garden (yes, the garden) The calm dissolves into something closer to managed chaos An adult-only hotel should feel curated. The other feels negotiated. --- Final note This is not a bad hotel. That would be easier. This is a beautiful hotel… carrying a 4-star operational soul while pricing itself like a 5-star philosophy. And that tension? You feel it everywhere.

Das Zimmer war mit Blick auf Pool. Leider ging kein Telefon und auch die Klimaanlage funktioniert nicht. Die Rezeption fühlte sich nicht zuständig. Die hoteleigene Animation war schlecht, dafür aber sehr laut. Wir waren nur 5 Nächte dort, aber würden das Hotel auf keinen Fall empfehlen. Dagegen waren die Zimmermädchen toll. Die Zimmer könnten renoviert werden. Lichtschalter viel von der Wand. Fischhalterung war defekt. Wer abends es etwas ruhiger möchte, dann nicht in dieses Hotel. Musik viel zu laut.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel in coppia e, nel complesso, è stata una bella esperienza. La struttura è molto piacevole e sicuramente il suo punto di forza più grande è la splendida vista sul mare, insieme alla infinity pool, davvero bellissima e perfetta per rilassarsi. Detto questo, personalmente non lo definirei proprio un hotel luxury. La suite che ci è stata assegnata era molto spaziosa e impeccabilmente pulita, ma l’arredamento e il décor ci sono sembrati un po’ datati e in stile “2010”, quindi non particolarmente moderni o all’altezza di quello che ci si aspetterebbe da una struttura di lusso. Un altro piccolo inconveniente è stato il check-in: abbiamo dovuto aspettare circa due ore oltre l’orario previsto prima di poter avere la camera. Abbiamo però apprezzato il fatto che ci sia stato offerto un late check-out come compensazione, gesto che abbiamo sicuramente gradito. Nel complesso, comunque, siamo stati bene. È un posto molto bello, con una vista spettacolare e un’atmosfera ideale per staccare dalla routine e concedersi qualche giorno di relax. Con qualche aggiornamento agli interni e una maggiore attenzione ai tempi del check-in, potrebbe essere davvero un’esperienza di livello superiore.

We really struggled with the service here. I told them I was getting married and I have family staying with them as well as family scattered at other nearby hotels. Royal Azur is the only hotel that would not cooperate with us to allow guests into the hotel. We were stopped multiple times at the front gate and the staff in the front desk would not accommodate our needs. Weddings are stressful as it is, however, the hotel did not alleviate any of that and added more levels of stress. I will not be coming back here.

The hotel personnel is outstanding. I loved their professionalism and dedication. Special note for the desk personnel who welcomed us with professionalism and kindness, and listened to our claims with a smile and reactively acted in consequence. The customer service manager (Haifa) is also great. The rooms are very clean but the furniture are quite old for a 5 stars hotel(some broken wooden stuff...) Biggest weakness: 1- The lunch/dinner menu was exactly the same and we had to rise a claim for that. The next day was satisfying tho. 2- We had to pass by an open door area to go to the indoor swimming pool during a cold time which was very uncomfortable (got a cold after that) 3- Booked an all inclusive and still need to pay for the gym? why?
