Actually, I had booked another hotel earlier which I needed to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.
The Norfolk Lodge is one of the very few hotels offering a gym, a ”mini gym”. For me an essential on any trip. The mini gym offered some cardio equipment of which only 1-2 were working properly and a few very light weights.
Most disappointing was the extremely small single room, even smaller than in any (!) hotel in Japan's metropolis earlier this year. The smallest ever, that small that it was impossible to open my suitcase anywhere except on the bed!
The breakfast was disappointing, too. Allways the same products, no variety at all. Luckily, there was at least gluten free muesli (for s.o. with coeliac disease) and gluten free toast on demand.
Nevertheless, for instance only tin fruits and one sort of cheese etc.
Positive, however, was the hotel's greatest asset, the staff!
Very friendly and caring people, young, open-minded and very diverse from all abroad.
As St. Hélier or Jersey in general are very expensive during the summer season, I won't complain about the price although it was very expensive (cheepest I could find was about 170 - 175 € per night).

JJudith OguI appreciated the location and the cleanliness of the environment. However, the service did not meet my expectations. We experienced an issue with the staff regarding the breakfast rule, which I found unfair, especially considering my positive experiences at other hotels. Based on this, I am uncertain about returning to this branch. I would like to note, however, that the Heathrow branch of this same hotel provided excellent service during my stay in December 2025.

ผผู้เข้าพักVery nice hotel, clean, tidy and plenty of attentive staff. We used as a base for exploring Jersey so didn't really use the hotel facilities - except the breakfast which was excellent - although for us it would have been nice if breakfast had started a little earlier maybe 7:30am? (it ran from 8am to 10am which was OK). Late on the last evening when packing we found we couldn't open the room safe as it had malfunctioned, it was after 11pm, but it actually showed the hotel staff in a very good light as the receptionist tried her best to help, the restaurant manager said opening the safe was the priority, and eventually after about twenty minutes the porter did manage to open the safe (”mechanically” - but that's another story!), so all was good ...... the problem was the electronic device - hotel staff were excellent and problem was solved! Overall very good, would stay again.

The room offered breathtaking views of the sea, making each morning a delight to wake up to. The hotel exudes elegance and comfort, with impeccable service from the staff who were always attentive and friendly. Every detail was thoughtfully managed, ensuring a luxurious and relaxing stay. I would wholeheartedly rate my experience as 5 stars and highly recommend the Grand Jersey Hotel to anyone seeking a memorable getaway.

The breakfast service was absolutely fantastic, with great food and attentive service throughout my trip. The facilities were clean and comfortable, I would love to book this hotel again next time!

ผผู้เข้าพักOnce again an excellent stay at the Somerville Hotel, over Christmas. This hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the location cannot be beaten. I can’t wait to return, for another visit, around April 2026.

UUtitofonI got the superior room with the sea view which was refreshing. The location is probably the best for the most part of a tourist- close to the city centre and bus station (for going to tourist attractions outside town which would be too expensive with a taxi) as well as very close to the harbour for the Condor Ferry (if you want to visit the other Channel Islands like Guernsey in same trip)

10-15 minutes walk to town & sea front. Breakfast fine & plenty of choice, good evening menu.
Spa was excellent with infinity pool, jacuzzi, cold plunge pool, sauna & steam room at no extra charge.
Would definitely recommend.
