Stayed here for 4 night. Good location near with a tram station just next to the hotel.
My flight arrived early for check in but they had rooms available so they were accommodating. After long flight, I really appreciate that.
And yes, electric kattle available.
Overall good service provided by front desk, generally clean and decent breakfast spread.
Booked the single room but haven’t slept on a single bed in a while, so needed time to get used to- that’s on me.
My main complaint is the illogical and not adult-friendly layout of the toilet. FYI- I’m a 1.7m average built Asian man. See the super narrow gap to squeeze through to get to the toilet bowl? One definitely needs to have physical contact with the sink or the shower wall to reach the toilet bowl, making it unhygienic and a terrible experience.
Also, right leg has no space beside the toilet bowl and need to be “rubbing” against the shower wall, making the experience a terrible one in an otherwise pleasant stay.
ผผู้เข้าพักRoom is big, bed is comfortable, bathroom has a door for shower area so that it would not become wet everywhere. Shampoo is good quality and like the smell. Breakfast is above average and has a lot of choices.
Internet/Wifi is slow and difficult for some work. Handwash was used up and was not refilled by housing keepers. Queen bed room is not a real queen bed but twin beds put together.
ZZactotoThis is our favourite hotel in Nuremberg!! Attention to detail on every step of the experience, their crews were simply amazing! They are happy to serve you, not one person but every staff that I encountered. I got a surprise birthday cake in my room with a hand written note, am truly grateful and heartfelt. So thank you, Karl August your neighbourhood hotel. 5 stars and beyond. We will be back again for sure!
ผผู้เข้าพักWe received excellent service at this hotel during our check in provided by Aaryan. Aaryan helped guide us into the parking garage, was super friendly and got us a room in the main tower where there was an elevator to use (despite our booking in the less expensive annex room). He even offered to provide us suggestions for the sunny weather during our stay in Munich and made sure to say hello and check in on us each time we saw it. It was natural and friendly customer service.
The hotel is a little older and has some interesting decor. The room had a futon couch, a good bed, desk area, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge (with some pop and water you could pay for), an iPod dock, a good sized TV, and plenty of counter space to put our things. They provided gummy bears and a couple of cookies in our room too which was nice. The bed was comfy for me and the hotel can provide more bedding or pillows on request. We felt the cleanliness could have been better as our tea cups were a bit dirty.
The bathroom was interesting with two stools but really a place to put them. The shower was not our favourite with no door or shower curtain and the glass was not enough to keep the water in. There is an all in one shampoo/body wash that was ok. The towels were a little thin and could use replacement.
The cost of the hotel was good and we felt it was a decent location. It is a bit far from the main attractions of Munich but it has good public transport access including the nearby central station which is less than 10 minutes away from the hotel. There are a few restaurants and convenience stores by the hotel that are open quite late and there are some Bavarian/Oktoberfest souvenir stores nearby. I felt safe walking around alone at night to get a late night doner.
The breakfast at the hotel is pretty good with a good variety of food including deli meats, cheeses, bread, yogurt, fruit, juice, coffee and tea. There was lots of seating available including some artsy chairs.
There is limited parking at this hotel and it is very tight so we are glad we rented a compact. If you choose to park here you have to go in to see reception so they can open the door and guide you to your spot. It may also be recommended to contact the hotel in advance to reserve a spot. The front desk initially said it was 20 euros for parking but charged us 22. There are other parkades nearby but due to the construction in the area we felt there was convenient having the car parked at the hotel.
DdyhxFree hotel shuttle provided by Airparks. At Terminal 2, follow the signs that say 'Bus/Hotel Shuttle' and head towards the Bus Terminal, Stop #11. The buses run at xx10 hrs, xx30 hrs and xx50 hrs. It makes a stop at Terminal 1 before heading to the hotels. It actually stops at a big car park building 2 mins walk from the hotel. You'll see the hotel before it turns in and alights passengers at Airpark's holding area. Then it's a short walk across the road to the hotel where you enter from the back of the hotel.
Simple room, good for one, might be a squeeze for 2 persons with big luggages. No wardrobe, just open hanging hooks which is great too. No mini fridge but basic shower amenities are provided except toothbrush/toothpaste. Bed and pillows is a little too soft for my liking.
Quite expensive for a one night stay, especially for me, it was just 10 hrs literally - to shower and sleep.
There's a bus stop a few mins walk from the hotel where you can hop on a direct public bus for €4.10 (cash only, no change given, runs every 15 mins or so) or pay €10 for the Airparks shuttle (runs every 20-30 mins) back to the airport.
ผผู้เข้าพักOverall, my stay at this hotel was absolutely fine and pleasant. The hotel itself is clean, well maintained, and gives a tidy and organized impression from the moment you arrive. The rooms were spotless, the bed was comfortable, and everything felt well looked after. Housekeeping clearly does a good job, and the general standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel was very good.
The staff deserves a special mention. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, polite, and helpful. Check-in and check-out were smooth and professional, and whenever I had a small question, the staff was approachable and willing to help. This created a welcoming atmosphere and made the stay feel easy and relaxed.
That said, there are a few points that were disappointing and felt unnecessary. Not offering any complimentary coffee, even in common areas or in the room, is surprising nowadays. For a hotel of this standard, a simple free coffee would be a small gesture that guests really appreciate, especially in the morning.
Even more frustrating was the charge for parking. Asking guests to pay for parking feels quite cheeky, considering that there are plenty of places to park for free all around the hotel. Knowing that free parking is easily available nearby makes the paid parking option feel unjustified and more like an extra way to charge guests rather than a real necessity.
In summary, the hotel itself is good, clean, and comfortable, and the staff is genuinely nice and professional. However, the lack of free coffee and the additional parking fee leave a slightly negative impression and take away from an otherwise solid experience. With a bit more guest-friendly thinking in these areas, this hotel could easily offer a much better overall stay.
