Handy stop with a view between Emerald and Alpha

Driving the Capricorn Highway from Emerald to Alpha, the Drummond Range Lookout is worth a brief stop to stretch the legs and take in the view.

A real nice stop for a quick break. There is a plague with the history of the Highway and Rail line there if you can read it.

Nice views into the distance.

It had been raining previously when I was there so the country was looking green. More like Victoria than central Queensland. A very pleasant stop.

2017 visit My favourite kind of lookouts are ones like this that are right off main road. Good spot to let the restless passengers stretch there legs.
