Royal Armouries Museum

fantastic museum! free to enter and full of incredibly interesting artefacts, easy to access from Leeds station and located in the city centre.

Brilliant day out with the family. The battle reenactment between two gladiators was funny with some interesting information. It was well staffed. Definitely worth a visit.

The Royal Ordnance Museum of Leeds is a branch of the Royal Ordnance Museum of the United Kingdom. The museum opened in 1996 and is free to visit. The museum has five floors and is divided into several exhibition areas. The exhibits are rich in armor and weapons used by medieval cavalry, and weapons used during the 1st century, including tanks, mortars, heavy machine guns, rifles, armored vehicles, etc. You can understand the history and progress of human weapons development.

Modern, interactive museum with wide-ranging collection of arms from East-Asian to historical English armours. However, similarly to Tate Modern not all floors are currently accessible. Personally, I would visit once again in a couple of years to see how it develops.

Tickets are free. It takes 18 minutes to walk east from Leeds Station. There are various weapons from the Cold War to the contemporary era. Mainly guns. It is worth seeing for military fans.
