My suggestion is to go down the mountain from the dragon gate and finally sit down from the dragon gate and take the cableway to Dianchi Lake.

During the process of taking the Dianchi Xishan cableway, you can overlook the entire Dianchi Lake and the view is quite good. Get off the bus to Xishan and you can visit Xishan directly.
