There are days that are perfectly flat and days with big waves (fun for some), but I would rather stay on the deck watch and listen to the crashing of the waves.4. IS THERE ALWAYS BEACH, EVEN A HIGH TIDE?There is usually beach. The beach size, shape and depth changes with tides. Smallest beach in late June and July, but you can still take steps down to water. Located in Georgetown, Exuma Markets is the largest grocery store on the island, but we prefer Prime Island Meats. • Prime Island Meats is located 5 miles south of the airport and is our first and best choice for food. It is owned by an immensely helpful guy from New Jersey. It has freshly imported meats (steak, chicken, pork, lamb, sausages) and seafood, as well as other grocery items like fruits and vegetables. They are closed on Sundays.• Convenience Stores: (Liquor/Wine/Beer): Bowes Shopping Plaza is a strip mall 3 miles north of the airport and close to Indigo House. Also, Smitty's (basic food, liquor and pharmacy)-located 6 miles south of the airport.• Concierge Grocery Stocking: It is nice to arrive at Indigo House and have it freshly stocked with groceries and beverages.
