Best Western Walworth Castle Hotel looks like you’re about to stay in a medieval fortress, but the experience is closer to a slightly ******* Premier Inn with turrets. The castle exterior is genuinely impressive. The inside feels like it was last renovated during the English Civil War. Creaky floors, questionable décor, piggy smell breakfasts and recepcionist smile thicker than the castle walls. That said, it’s strangely charming in the same way old pubs and abandoned stately homes are charming. Not luxurious, not modern, but definitely memorable.

Superb hotel, superb food in Marco Pierre White's restaurant. Special mention to the receptionist , Urra (I've got that badly wrong) , Rhiannon and the restaurant staff. What an amazing, we stayed in a superior room which was outstanding. Amazing stay

ห้องพักกว้างขวางและเตียงนอนสบาย มันมาพร้อมกับอาหารเช้าฟรีซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ดี อาหารเช้าก็โอเคอาหารเหมือนกันทุกเช้า สิ่งเดียวที่ทําให้เราผิดหวังคือหนึ่งในพนักงานในร้านอาหาร เรานั่งอยู่ที่นั่นเป็นเวลานานและรอเสิร์ฟ เพราะเค้าจะไม่เสิร์ฟเราจนถึง 20.00 น. เราเลยรออย่างอดทนเพราะเพิ่งมาถึงคืนนั้นหิวมาก ผู้ชายคนนี้กําลังให้บริการคนอื่นแต่ไม่ใช่เรา ดิฉันกับสามีจึงสงสัยว่าเกิดอะไรขึ้น สามีของฉันจึงไปที่โรงเตี๊ยมและเข้าคิว แต่เมื่อถึงรอบสามีของฉัน เขาถามว่า ”ใครต่อไป?? เห็นได้ชัดว่าสามีของฉันอยู่ตรงหน้าเขา จากนั้นเมื่อสามีของฉันถามว่าเราสามารถสั่งตอนนี้ได้ไหม เขามองเขาและฉันและพูดว่า ”โอ้ แค่รอโต๊ะของคุณ แล้วฉันจะรับคําสั่งของคุณจากที่นั่น . อาจจะเพราะผมเป็นคนเอเชียคนเดียวที่นั่น รู้สึกเหมือนมี******นิดหน่อย บอกตามตรง เรากลับไปที่โต๊ะรอเสิร์ฟอีก แต่เขาไม่ได้ขึ้นมาเสิร์ฟโต๊ะข้างๆ และเสิร์ฟลูกค้าคนอื่นที่มาตามเรา ฉันโกรธและอารมณ์เสียมาก แต่ฉันไม่ต้องการที่จะสร้างฉาก เราเลยออกไปหาร้านอาหารนอกโรงแรมอีกร้าน เราผิดหวังมาก ไม่ได้คาดหวังว่าจะได้รับการปฏิบัติแบบนั้น พนักงานต้อนรับดีมากและช่วยเหลือดีมาก ฉันแค่ลืมชื่อของเขา แต่คนที่ร้านอาหารไม่ดีเลย เขาทําลายวันหยุดของครอบครัวของเรา เราจะไม่กลับมาที่นั่นอีกต่อไป

Absolutely wonderful. Id stayed at Durham Royal County before with my girlfriend. However she didn't come with ne this time due to reasons that she had. The staff at the hotel were lovely about it and made me feel better about tge situation and a lovely note and complementary drinks for me to come back to in my room. All I can say is thankyou and I'll look forward to staying with you again soon. Thanks Matthew

Room old and outdated - hotel needs refurbished in older areas - new spirts bar disappointing expensive and not that clean - nenus dirty with fingerprints and sticky - considering brand new they beed higher standards tho mains in Fusion were good but prawn crackers at £5.95 were awful

Was a romantic get away, found that the drinks are expensive inside the hotel. we never ate at the hotel, as there is a couple of nice pubs close by. the staff were friendly, THe place is a bit of a maze but cool. they do run daily tours but its best if you book up in advance as when we tried to do day of the tour no availability. it is run via a 3rd party not the hotel itself.

I have been to Hartlepool many times in the past stayed in different places over the years but the Grand Hotel I liked nice staff spacious rooms location ideal I did come across one rude customer that was not very nice despite the staff doing g everything they could for her so I just had to tell her off fo being so rude definitely will stay again and also o e mention to the curry house in the same building excellent food and again nice staff

เรามีความสุขกับการเข้าพักของเราทําเลที่ตั้งดีเยี่ยมสถานที่สวยงามและเงียบสงบ พนักงานเป็นกันเองมากยินดีต้อนรับและเป็นมืออาชีพ ข้อเสียอย่างเดียวคือห้องของเรามีปลั๊กปลั๊กเพียงอันเดียวที่เราสามารถใช้ ..... ไม่ได้เพียงพอในทุกวันนี้ แม้แต่สําหรับความต้องการขั้นพื้นฐาน ..... แย่มากโดยบังเอิญ ยินดีต้อนรับเครื่องปรับอากาศ ดังนั้นเราจึงหลีกเลี่ยงโรงแรมนี้ในฤดูร้อนด้วยเหตุผลนี้เพียงอย่างเดียว อีกอย่างหนึ่งที่น่ารําคาญเล็กน้อยห้องน้ําของเรามีชั้นวางแก้วเหนืออ่างล้างจานซึ่งยื่นออกมาอย่างหนักเพื่อตรวจสอบให้แน่ใจว่าสิ่งต่าง ๆ จะไม่ล้มลง อาหารเช้าของเรายอดเยี่ยม (ยกเว้นไข่เจียว) และพนักงานบริการก็ให้การต้อนรับดีมาก .... เป็นการเริ่มต้นที่ดีสําหรับวันใดก็ได้!

Reception staff lovely. Food lovely and motel well presented.  Couple of issues in room - couldn’t get the shower riser to work but only there one night so managed. However not a fan of two single beds zipped together as zip is felt and disrupts sleep. Also wasn’t a fan of the mattress ended with bad back.

Absolutely spotless and finished to a high standard. Decor is modern and appealing throughout. Staff are helpful. Lovely restaurant and fantastic coffee served there. The only slight issue I would say, is that you can hear guests in the next room very easily and this isn’t desirable for obvious reasons. We sadly ended up with very noisy guests in the room next to us the first night we stayed and this caused considerable disruption to our sleep pretty much all night. Saying this, we didn’t notify the staff though (so they may have been able to help) as there was no phone in the room. The next night was fine and completely silent so this would be dependent on who you have staying near you.
