See the largest Christian church in China...

Every time I come here, I feel something: although I have never set foot inside, this church and the surrounding environment bring back too many memories... ⛪️ Environment: This is a typical Gothic church, with its iconic architecture of firm and pointed doors and windows. As a former Anglican sect, it covers a large area and has now become the headquarters of the Chinese Christian Church. Currently, it is open for worship services and holds events on specific holidays, but like other churches, it is not open to tourists for casual visits. 📚 History: The church was first built in the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty (1866). It was originally under the direct jurisdiction of the Anglican Church of England and was long used only by Anglican expatriates. It was not until the establishment of the Chinese Anglican Church that more Chinese believers were allowed to enter. It was also the place where Bishop Ding Guangxun, the former leader of the Chinese Christian Church, stayed. After liberation, it became the headquarters of the Chinese Christian United Church. The garden in front of the church was used as a street garden for citizens for a long time until 2006, when the church began to reopen for worship services, and the whole area became part of it, with a bronze model of the church in the center of the garden. Of course, a part of the front of the church is still under renovation. 💁‍♂️ Service: Although it is a religious place, do not think that the staff and volunteers inside will be kind and friendly - many friends have reported that the staff of the Holy Trinity Church are very arrogant and often glare at visitors. This is something that has to be said to be a shortcoming, and it is also an important reason why I do not visit such places very often! To be honest, as a Christian, I should feel very close to these places every time I come here, but the truth is just the opposite! Perhaps this is a test of my faith - not caring about the splendor outside, but only caring about whether my heart feels at peace!
