Longhua Pagoda

#chinatrip Longhua Pagoda is octagonal in shape, 40 meters high (7 floors). It is built of stone and wood and has traditional carved balconies on each floor. It is part of the Longhua Temple complex, but is separated from the temple by a road, surrounded by a fence and no one is allowed there. The temple and pagoda were built almost simultaneously, but then they were destroyed during the war years. Longhua Pagoda looks much older and more interesting compared to the temple complex. The tips of the roofs of each floor are curved upward and decorated with animal figures. There are bells hanging on the corners of the eaves, which for some reason do not ring when the wind blows. Entrance to the temple complex is usually paid, but on September 28, 2019 there was free access. The temple has a fairly large area.
