Alsa Harum, an internet celebrity club, is probably the starting point for temple escape in Ubud, Bali! Ubud is indeed a secluded spot in Bali, with vast forests and lush greenery! Bali Sanur Pier - Speedboat 🚤 - Penida Island (Banjar Nyuh Harbour), takes 50 minutes.
It's recommended to buy the boat tickets online a day in advance, it's cheaper than buying on-site. Once booked, you'll receive an email 📧 with a QR code. Save the QR code.
Boarding Time - Traffic in Bali is heavy, so it's recommended to arrive at the pier an hour early. Find the ticket exchange point of the shipping company, show the QR code to the staff, and you'll receive a paper ticket for boarding. Follow the staff's arrangements to board the boat 🚢 on time.
❓【Transportation on the Island】
Rent a motorcycle or hire a car. There is no Grab 🚗 on the island, so you can only explore by riding a motorcycle or hiring a car.
If you have experience riding motorcycles or medium to large electric vehicles, it's more recommended to rent a motorcycle, which costs a few dozen a day. Penida Island has many small roads, making motorcycles more convenient and free.

Most people join a one-day tour on Penida Island, but it's very rushed, and you usually have to leave by 4 PM, meaning you can't see the sunset. But the sunset at Kelingking Beach is absolutely stunning!
So it's strongly recommended to stay on the island for at least 2 days, one day for the east line and one day for the west line. This way, you don't have to get up too early, and you can slowly explore and discover more beauty!

I personally think this super value store can be said to have put a perfect end to the trip, it's not worth it! Putri spa has three branch stores in Bali, Bali. We went to the main store, where the service and environment were excellent. Melasti Beach in Bali is hands down one of the most breathtaking spots I’ve ever visited! 🌴🏖️ Located on the southern tip of the island, it’s about a 30-minute drive from Uluwatu. The entrance fee is super affordable, just around 10,000 IDR (less than $1), which is a steal for the experience you get. The journey down to the beach itself is stunning, with a winding road that gives you sweeping views of the cliffs and ocean. When I finally arrived, I was greeted by pristine white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. 🏝️
What I loved most about Melasti Beach was how peaceful it felt compared to other popular beaches in Bali. The beach wasn’t overcrowded, making it a perfect spot to relax, sunbathe, or even meditate by the waves. The water is calm, great for a refreshing swim, and there are plenty of small rock pools to explore. For those looking for a bit of adventure, you can also rent a kayak or snorkel gear. 🐠🌊
Nearby, there are a few warungs (local eateries) that offer delicious Indonesian food. Cretya Ubud is a popular destination in Bali, known as a luxurious club featuring various pools, jacuzzis, restaurants, live music, and more! What I enjoyed the most was the view of the forest and terraces, which exudes a jungle vibe! I stayed here for about two to three hours, exploring different levels of pools. There are three levels in total: the top level is a bar, the middle level is where the live music is, which I think is the best spot for photos, and the bottom level has jacuzzis and more!
If you want to take photos, plan to spend more time to avoid the crowds!
The entrance fee is 150,000 IDR (includes entrance and one free drink).

The facility manager is super nice and daily cleaning is done very thoroughly not just within the house but including the outdoor pool area also. The food spots and massage that they recommended was great too. One minute flaw is the location (hard to find for some cab drivers and narrow alley). Apart from that, really happy with the experience.
The staff were so kind and Helpful. Bagus went above and beyond to help us when we all got sick. The villa itself is so stunning and it’s in a good location to get around Canguu.

I am a frequent traveler. I must say this hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed. First, their hospitality is super. You feel like at home, surrounded by people always kindly willing to help. Second, the environment is also super. They have beautiful villas, beautiful scenery, and beautiful decorations all over the hotel. You can feel the elegance and comfort from all the details. I was worried about mosquitoes, insects, and some small animals. But I found I was over cautious. You did find them but in pleasant occasions (sometimes a little bit surprising in the beginning).
I strongly recommend this hotel and have planned to come back.

This was such a good find for our family trip to Bali in 2024! It honestly exceeded our expectations ! The whole villa was so spacious and there are two huge rooms in it! Each room has its own bathroom that comes with a bathtub 🛁. The bathtub is placed outdoor and it was a very different experience for us to dip ourselves in the water while gazing at the stars at night! The location was quite secluded but a ride of 10 to 15 minutes can easily bring us to the Ubud centre. I would highly recommend Villa Taya if you are visiting Ubud!
