I love staying at Tangtao Yard Hostel. The whole place is historic, homey, comfy and tranquillising. I was so lucky to be greeted by a young boy who is the receptionist at the place. He is super helpful and gave me a map detailing all the major scenic spots at Gulangzu. He even told me where I could find great places for local delicacies, making my whole tour memorable and exquisite.
My room was very spacious and quiet. The bedding was spotlessly clean. I fell asleep immediately when l lay on the comfy bed.
I would definitely pay a visit here again. Thanks for everything.
Great location as is accessible to SanFang QiXiang, DaMing food street as well as other departmental stores..
The customer service are good and polite. They always fulfill what we have requested.
The breakfast is nice although quite limited.. but is sufficient to keep our tummy happy. I would still prefer buffet than bento as some of the food given are not what I usually will eat, and it will go to waste.. at least for buffet, I can choose what I want and not waste it.
Limited hotel options around Fuzhou that accommodate a family of 5 in a room.. this made a good choice for us.
The downside is no privacy as this is like a museum which I’m not aware of when booking, hence people can walk around outside the room area.
Another downside is 1 toilet for 5pax.
I really enjoyed my solo recharge trip here, is like homestay and very closed to the beach and the area for sunrise or sunset or the tourist area for food by walking distance.
Easy to access by public transport - bus or subway
Sister who is very kind for assist any enquiry and well cooking. I really love the seafood soup with noodles. Packed the sweet potato and hard boil egg for me when she know i heading to the island.
She also fulfilled my request with non-smoking and quiet Room. I really appreciate that as every night with good sleep.
Only the first impression is the bathroom amenities not so well maintaining with some strained. The rest is good like back to home and feel warm.
ผผู้เข้าพักWe really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and sunny, very silent, the bed comfortable, the heating worked really well and the shower gets nice and hot if you wait for a while. It’s off season right now, but we were still surprised to see that the hotel was practically empty, it deserves more clients.
It’s one of the few hotels inside the park which is very convenient, and much nicer than the ones outside of the park that look really sad and ugl. We much preferred waking up with a view on the tea plantations. The staff doesn’t speak English at all but they’re very kind and will try their best to understand all your needs through translation apps. We ended up staying a day less and they were kind enough to give us the breakfast for free. They will also offer you to taste their local tea in the hall, which is delicious and served in the traditional way which is fascinating to watch.
The furniture and overall look of the hotel might be a little dated, but we actually liked it, it gives character compared to all the ultra modern, aseptic hotels. The breakfast was really abundant and delicious, typical of the area which we loved. The only real inconvenience is that didi won’t be able to leave you at the hotel entrance, it will be stopped at the park entrance which is a 10 minutes walk on a road busy with all the park’s buses. The solution is either booking the car directly through the hotel, or ask the hotel to register your didi’s plate so it can enter the park. We did this when we visited the nearby Xiamei village and it worked.
AArianna91A truly wonderful experience! We felt really at home in this characteristic family-run hotel just at the fringe of WuyiShan National Park 🌸 the hotel is conveniently located just inside the National Park and it is a perfect starting point for your hiking exploring the wonderland of WuyiShan. The building maintains its authentic vintage charm while offering all the conveniences of modernisation: the rooms are spacious and well-equipped and you can enjoy a lot of communal spaces for various activity too. The courtyard and the little garden are especially charming and in the tea room you can sip a cup of hot Dahongpao for free after a muscle-challenging walk around WuyiShan. The hotel is also very close to a lot of restaurant and amenities, while shielding you from the hustle and bustle of tourists. We especially appreciated the privacy and silence surrounding the hotel: it wonderful to hear the sound of the rain in the night gently lulling you to sleep. The hotel is also very clean and well-looked after. The service staff is particularly helpful and supportive: super gentle, welcoming and polite! We really recommend this hotel as a base for your discovery of the wonders of WuyiShan!
