The Valamar Meteor hotel was in a great location right by the beach and near the old town.
The view was nice and the room was clean.
Breakfast is also great !!
The sunset is beautiful !!

Sehr schönes, modernisiertes Hotel in Top Lage. Frühstück ausgezeichnet. Die Fläche vor dem InfinityPool und Liegen waren leider komplett überfüllt und nichts mehr frei , was etwas ungemütlich war. Der kleine Garten vor dem Innenpool mit den Liegen und den Daybetten war aber schön ruhig und nicht ganz so überlaufen. Hotel ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

What an amazing hotel, very family friendly, amazing views, friendly staff & excellent food. We arrived at 11pm, check in was easy, they left us a meal, fruit & water in our room which was wonderful. Room very spacious, only down side was not enough storage, no drawers for 3 ladies.infinity pool,plenty of activities to do, bars and restaurants nearby as well as a harbour with boat trips. A hidden gem of a hotel

The Hotel was excellent and the staff were so friendly and helpful and always happy to help. One of the best if not the best experience I’ve ever had in a hotel. The rooms are comfortable if a little small. The location is fantastic the pools indoors and out were beautiful plenty of sun loungers and literally 10 paces to the beach. A fantastic hotel and we WILL be going back which is probably the best indicator of how much we loved it.

Excellent place to stay in Makarska . Central to everything beach^s resturants and old town firstclass in everyway highly recommend Valamar spotless rooms wonderful helpful staff. Best breakfast so much variety Unforgettable ❤️

Stayed for a week, saw loads of negative comments. I would say a lot of them are complete rubbish. Great , clean superb hotel , don’t be put off. Staff fantastic, everything you need and more, different nationalities who get on great. I’ve travelled quite a bit in my time and can’t knock this place at all. Give it ago, you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful hotel, couldn't rate it any higher. The location is exactly what we were looking for with the beach a stones throw away and dozens of restaurants within a few mins walk either direction. We chose last minute to upgrade to a suite with one of the big terraces and are so glad we did. The terrace was incredible for watching the sunsets. The housekeeping team (Maria) said hi everyday to our family and stopped to chat. The Maro kids club was amazing - activities throughout the day but also a large area for kids just to play including lego, games consoles, soft play. We looked forward to the kids disco every night and meeting Maro, and every single one of the staff were brilliant with our shy 4 year old. The swimming pools were also brilliant, large infinity pool with seating area in the pool, and 2 kids pools with various slides etc. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfast each day was lovely, as were the staff (Mia and Katrina on the omelette station in particular). We ate in the snack bar one lunch time and the club sandwiches was very nice. Would recommend to download the app for easy check in, check out and seeing kids club (and other) activities. As others have mentioned, some additional storage would be beneficial but it certainly wasn't a deal breaker for us. Would 100% recommend for the location, staff, food, facilities and general vibe.

This is a thoroughly nice hotel. Facilities include spa, restaurants, ******, children's club and play areas. Staff are universally helpful and of all the many hotels that I have used all over the world, this one has the best breakfast ever. In fact the buffet area is probably larger than the seating area in the restaurant. You want it, they have it. I cannot comment on the restaurant dinner as we stayed B&B but the Italian themed restaurant right next to the hotel and in the same group was excellent.. Location is right on the beach with eateries right along the promenade. It's a short walk to the harbour and the sea swimming area on the way out to the lighthouse.

Great hotel, excellent friendly staff, loads for kids to do, wide selection of foods for breakfast and dinner so was really worth doing half board. Location is great, really scenic. Would highly recommend for anyone but if you have kids definitely a great hotel for you
