Tui Oceana suits no longer Tui blu which we discovered when we were there. We travelled from the 3rd May till the 17th did not know it had lost its blue Status. The reviews we had read were all raving about this hotel. On arrival went to our room, first impressions, the carpet was disgusting, old tired and not clean , opened the bedside table somebody's rubbish still in the drawer, no way would we have walked on the carpet with bare feet. Toilet old tired and not clean, under the bed was covered with thick dirt , hadn't been vacuumed for some time. In the two weeks we were there ,there were 3 medical conferences they took over the hotel, staff were trying to put us I to the smaller dining area where there was a lot less choice of food so they could accommodate the conference people, they had priority over other guests, not good enough. We paid good money and insisted that we ate in the main dining room these people were rude , ate all the food because they were all dressed in fancy suits they thought they had priority over the holiday guests there were about 200 of them and at times couldn't move for them. Beach bar not opened, poolside bar only opened 2nd week ,adult pool not opened If you are going to pay extra for a swim up room don't bother you only get a couple of hours sunshine, they are on the wrong side of the hotel. Lovely beach, good towel service and waiter service, don't expect snacks there aren't any. 80% of staff were friendly, food 8/10 We won't be returning to this hotel, its needing a serious face lift. We did get some compensation from Tui the reps face was tripping him when he was insisting it was a 5 star That's the truth so make your own decision
