I recently had the displeasure of staying at what can only be described as one of the worst hotels I have ever encountered. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I knew I was in for a disappointing experience. Firstly, the cleanliness of the hotel was abysmal. The room I was assigned had dirty carpets, stained bedding, and a foul odor that permeated the entire space. It was evident that no effort had been made to adequately clean or maintain the room in a satisfactory manner. I felt incredibly uncomfortable and disgusted by the lack of hygiene. Furthermore, the front desk staff (Jean in particular) at this hotel were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Whenever I asked for assistance or had a concern to address, they displayed a complete lack of empathy or willingness to help. It appeared as if they were simply going through the motions and couldn't be bothered to provide any level of customer service. It made the experience even more frustrating and aggravating. The amenities promised on their website were a complete fabrication. To begin, the phone in the room was a decoration. The most frustrating part of this “vacation” was when the room had an electrical short in the middle of the night and we stayed without electricity until the following day. The electrical short took out the refrigerator and the TV, which means all the ice and food in the freezer was melted and water was all over the room. Needless to say, the milk and my kid’s snacks were spoiled.
