Good location to Chester and Manchester if you drive. Perfect for a stop if you plan to drive from north to south or south to north and make a stop in here to take a break.

This place is quite far away and not easy to get to the city centre, wouldn't recommend staying here if you don't have a car

Stayed at this hotel for a night. The location is nice up on the hill and surrounded by greenery. Service was excellent at the front desk and the restaurant. I like the breakfast a lot with food served at the right temperature. Variety is adequate. It is however a different story inside the rooms.
One room has the floor lamp not working at all and curtains hanging without the hooks. The shower head was dripping in another room. Dust was all around the outlets of the air-conditioning unit and inside the lamp shades.
The shower is so poorly designed that one cannot keep the bathroom floor dry at all after taking a shower. The rotten wood at the bottom of the bathroom door should give some hints.
There are not many hotel choices in Runcorn. If the cleanliness can be improved this would be a very nice hotel.

We enjoyed a lot in the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
My son was very happy a well deserved Easter break!!

Hotel looks dated outside, however the inside was generally very nice, lots of lounge seats, and nice atmosphere. The rooms were a little small, and the beds were standard double and not particularly comfortable… but adequate. The only thing I would say is that although generally a good standard. there were a few areas of the hotel that were tatty, and would not take much to put right (chunks of paint out of doorways, and the lift area for example).

Staff were absolutely fabulous. Couldnt fault any of them. So friendly and go above and beyond for guests.
Only thing was the room designed for a family was tiny. Not much space for 3 of us and suitcases. Could do with ramps out the front for guests with heavy suitcases rather than just steps.
