Loved the sea air so much me and my partner wanted to stay another night and it was extremely simple to book another room after checking out!
Reception staff also helped in giving us the best deal.

Lift was out of order ,our room was 3rd floor but mum has mobility issues so with a little rejig we were on the 1st floor with a bonus of a sea view
Negative was room 103 radiator would not turn down and it was a constant gushing noise otherwise a great stay

For the price of the room, I cannot fault it. Bar prices were a bit steep, but taking advantage of the bar voucher at booking, made even that more managable. The self service breakfast was also really good.

Pros: I booked a single but got a pretty big double room, so that was a lovely surprise. The room was warm, but temperature could be controlled as the stand alone heater was easily controlled. Bed was comfortable. Bath as well as shower.
Cons: I could only find one socket to use to charge devices and access to that was rather restricted by the bed (the kettle one was even harder to access and so not counted in this review). Parking on site was charged extra, but I found free parking a few streets away. It was sad to see that the hotel had clearly been well decorated then allowed to deteriorate with very poor maintenance of chips in walls / paint etc - so many things looked bodged. My room had the creakiest floorboards I've ever come across, which I guess may not be something that can be fixed, but I felt sorry for anyone who might have been staying in the room below mine.

The loved the room excellent service from Liam on the front desk very professional friendly and helpful and is a credit to the grand Atlantic and also other staff members breakfast was fantastic and the waiter was very nice.

The property is obviously old, but they have upgraded the rooms to ne comfortable & pleasant. We we're located at the front of the property facing the beautiful beach which the views we're amazing. We only had one issue, the windows are only single glazed and the weather was really windy, one of our windows was blowing the curtains inside so perhaps upgrading the windows would benefit as we ended up with heating on constantly, which if upgraded woukd perhaps help heating bill as is a very large hotel. The breakfast was enjoyable and very tasty with a large variety so i would recommend.
