Booked a standard queen room but decided to pay IDR 2.25MM for an upgrade to a suite to have a bathtub.
Room 102 was a one bedroom suite, but furnishings were old and run down. The curtain was torn, and the Pringle’s potato chips were left half opened / eaten by the previous guest!! (Really unacceptable for housekeeping not to have caught this in a 5 star property ranked as the number 1 premium hotel in JKT on Trip)
Bathroom amenities were in bad condition, and the soap dispenser in the shower was broken. Worst part was, the housekeeping service did not provide new slippers on day 2 to replace the used slippers, and did not replace the empty tissue box in the bathroom which is such a basic item
Breakfast selection was wide, but quality was mediocre, and the overall ambience of the hotel felt like a 3.5 star hotel. The coffee took a long time to arrive, and when it did arrive it was not hot. I also over heard other guests complain about this to the staff.
Overall a very disappointing experience at Pullman. The Central Park mall next door was brilliant, but I would not be coming back to this hotel as it is very poor value for money (almost sgd300/night for 3.5 star quality and service in a non SCBD/premium location in West Jakarta. I really wonder how the hotel received such good reviews. My colleague who decided to stay with the standard room, also felt the same. We travel a lot for business in every major city across Asia, and this is one of the worst 5-star hotel experience so far.
